The staff were all lovely, truly great. The location is also great. However, the room we stayed in was very cold and drafty (despite having all radiators on), and the shower was incredibly low pressure - very difficult to actually wash yourself. It was also a bit noisy, however that was to be expected given the location of the hotel. Unlikely to stay here again.
Please don’t come to this hotel! The sound insulation is very poor! I clearly chose a quiet room when I booked it. But they arranged a very noisy room for me. I entered the room and found that there was an obvious noise in the room, but I was told that I had to wait until 10 p.m. to close automatically. Even at 12:30 a.m., there were people shouting in the corridor. The water is not hot either. It‘s very uncomfortable.
Fantastic overnight stay here. Quiet room. Comfy bed. Excellent location near Oxford Road train station and easy wander into town. Amazing coffee hangout and bar in the lobby. Really pleasant staff on arrival.
The staff couldn’t be more professional. Everyone we spoke to was an absolute delight. Our room was lovely however we did find a loose £10 (not that we complained about that) which made us feel the room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned out enough from the previous guest(s). Although in fairness, the room was spotless apart from this from what we seen. The shower was a little too low down for me with no option to raise it higher which could be a problem for any taller guests. Aside from those two small issues everything was great, the building itself was stunning and was in a very convenient location for everything that we had planned during our trip. We would definitely come back here should we visit Manchester again.
