I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and even gave some great food recommendations, which was a nice touch. The check-in process was smooth and easy. The room itself was spotless and very spacious, with everything you could need for a longer stay—stove, full fridge, washing machine, and even a dishwasher. We were only there for one night, but it would be perfect for a longer visit. The bed was really comfortable, and the dining area in the room was a great addition. The only minor downside was that the room wasn’t very soundproof, so outside noise was noticeable. However, this wasn’t a huge issue—earplugs would easily solve it. The bar was reasonably priced, and Foundation Coffee was a standout, with excellent coffee, pastries, and friendly service. Overall, a fantastic place to stay in a brilliant location. I’ll definitely be returning!
Fantastic first stay at Whitworth Locke! All staff are amazingly friendly and helpful, and couldn't do enough for us. A lovely touch provided to celebrate our anniversary also (thanks again). Even managed to check in ahead of the usual 4pm as the room was ready as we arrived to drop the bags off at 1.15. Room (one bedroom suite) was spacious, and extremely clean with everything you could possibly need. Bed was comfy, bathrobes are a lovely touch, shower was powerful and warm. Room location was very quiet. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will certainly look to stay again.
The hotel is set in a great location, next to canal street and the village, within a lovely building connecting a winter garden bar, coffee house, and stylised rooms. The staff were all extremely friendly and engaging, providing a great Manchester vibe! The rooms were a lovely design, spacious and well equipped. It was a nice place to stay and retire too. Will be looking forward to a return!
we stayed two night at this hotel and what an experience!! the hotel was amazing! we were really impressed by the interior design of it. the rooms were really specious and looked cool, the only thing we didn't like was the lighting as it was really dimmed at night even with the lampshade. the staff were really welcoming and nice, they helped us by answering our many questions and they gave us tokens for free drinks from the cafe because we were celebrating our graduation! overall it was a nice stay and i'm definitely coming back!
A massive shout out to Erin, Hannah, and the rest of the team. Me and my partner started using this hotel every time we stayed in Manchester a few years ago and will continue to always stay here. The rooms are lovely, the beds are so comfy, reasonably priced and the staff are amazing. I informed them that it was my partners birthday and they left a lovely note in the room and a neon sign. They really go above and beyond. Thank you so much for everything, we can't wait to come back ❤️
