I had an incredibly frustrating experience at this place. I called ahead to let them know I’d be arriving early, as I was traveling from a different city and had a long journey ahead. Despite this, when I arrived, the staff was completely uninterested in accommodating me. They didn’t even try to understand my situation and simply stated that they couldn’t help. There was no apology or attempt to offer a solution – just a flat "we can’t do anything" response. The lack of empathy and basic customer service was shocking. Instead of offering to help with an early check-in or even suggesting a waiting area, they left me with no options and no room. I had to scramble to find a different place to stay, which added unnecessary stress to my trip. I expected much better from a hotel that claims to offer quality service. I won’t be returning and would advise others to avoid this place if you need any flexibility or understanding with your booking.
I really enjoyed my stay here with my friend for a night away. I was able to really relax in the spa, the staff were extremely accommodating and the breakfast was great too!!! Nice location also for some walks, places to eat nearby and good links to the centre. I will definitely be coming back!
Very Poor Customer Service I booked a room for two days, but the experience was disappointing. The room was much smaller than expected and did not match the description on the website. Additionally, I had a blocked sink and a broken shower head, which I reported, but neither issue was fixed during my stay. When I mentioned the problems to the receptionist, I received no apology for the inconvenience. The young receptionist simply said she would ask someone to look into it, but nothing was done. To make matters worse, the swimming pool and sauna were out of service, but we were not informed about this at the reception when we asked for the swimming pool hours. Very disappointing overall.
I booked this for my son , his girlfriend is visiting from Australia. They both enjoyed their stay. Both did agree a lady on reception was extremely blunt and abrupt with them both , the guys were lovely and friendly to them. The young lady at reception does need to address her manners most definitely. My son and his girlfriend both spoke highly of the amazing cooked breakfast each morning , 5 stars for that. Sadly the young lady did make them feel very uncomfortable whenever they approached reception, just abrupt and extremely negative individual. Hope management do have speak to her regarding " people skills " Which will prevent them going back again in the near future.
As an annual gym member, I'm really pleased with Waterside. The gym has everything you need for cardio, strength, and recovery. The restaurant/cafe has great coffee (worker bee) and food. We often have breakfast on sundays after a session in the gym. The food and service are top-notch. We haven't used the hotel or conference facilities, so we can't comment with clarity, but would imagine they're as good. 😀😎
