Didn't stay in the hotel but went to the bar and the brasserie. Bar is elegant and service was pleasant. There is seating outside for days when the weather is kind. Inside there are comfy chairs, bench seats and armchairs. Music changes depending on the time of day. Downstairs is the brasserie and this is equally as nice. Cosy seating, nice lighting, feels modern with a elegant charm. Service was good albeit a little bit slow, but at least we were not rushed. Food was good and nice portions.
We had a wonderful room overlooking the canal. Staff were excellent. Room very clean and comfortable. Had a mini bar which was fully stocked. Mood lighting very good. The downfall of this hotel was the thumping disco or DJ music which went on until 3.45am. I’m no prude but to have this boom boom boom until this time in the morning was very stressful.
I had a very nice stay and was upgraded free of charge from a double room to a suite on the 3rd floor. The suite was very nice, modern and spacious. Also very comfortable. Great location on Canal Street next to many bars and restaurants. The only slight issue was the noise from the bar next door when I was trying to sleep however I am a light sleeper and all the bars are part of staying on Canal Street.
Lovely Hotel personally I think the rooms were a little bit too dark and just some of the finishing touches didn’t really work but overall nice clean hotel breakfast could’ve been a bit better. It’s a shame they can’t do a cooked option as well as just the Continental but definitely would stop here again. Staff were fantastic very helpful very friendly.
Very nice bar with great choice of drinks and cocktails. The cocktails are well prepared. Not cheap but you get value for money. Sophisticated club atmosphere. Not too many people but I liked that. If you're looking for crowds and mingling.... this is not the place. If you're looking for a nice drink with friends or partner.... this is the place to be.
