Came here as the first stop on a walk along the Trans-Pennine Trail. Really pleasantly surprised by my stay! Based on the price (and the exterior...) I was not expecting much. In reality, the rooms were really nice, with a sort of warm, modern, muted-colours vibe. Service was great, and my room was completely quiet. I also had dinner and breakfast in the hotel bar, and dinner especially was pretty great. I had the sizzling chicken, expecting "sizzling" to mean merely "cooked", but it was actually chicken in a really yummy sort of tandoori marinade. They offer a meal deal too, so I got the Reese's ice cream for dessert. If I had to give a little constructive feedback, I'd have to say the breakfast, especially the eggs, was not as nice as the dinner. But then, breakfast was also a fair bit cheaper. It's also a shame that the building is a bit ugly, with not much of a view, but it was really convenient for me (it's basically directly on the Trans-Pennine Trail).
Handy for town centre and not far from railway station. My room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was tasty with plenty of choice. The staff were friendly. Good value for money and well recommended.
The staff in this hotel have been A* during our stay. Starting with breakfast. unlimited buffet style breakfast with hot food, cereals, different types of coffee is great Robert and Simmone have been excellent as hosts in the morning very warm and friendly. constantly keeping the hot foods topped up. Staff during the day and evening have been warm and friendly and very kind. Sarah, Brandon, Louis and Tiffany have all been very easy to deal with always smiling and always friendly which has made our stay as a family a delight. Steve has been excellent whilst we have been here I couldn't of had a better experience when he had dealt with us. Becky as well has been top with us during our stay dealing with our needs brilliantly. All the staff have been warm and welcoming so thank you very much it means a lot
After staying here for 2.5 weeks due to my home being flooded, I can provide an honest review based on two different rooms. The hotel is in a prime location and only a 2 minute walk from Stockport centre. The rooms are nice and cozy, very clean, with comfortable beds and Samsung TVs. They even provide portable heaters, which heat the room quickly during the winter months. The staff are all incredibly friendly, easygoing, and accommodating, always willing to help when needed. However, there are a few downsides. There are no toilet brushes in the bathrooms, and the windows, while double-paned, seem to trap excess moisture, causing water to collect on the sill. The paid Wi-Fi is advertised for two devices, but connecting the second device is very difficult and frustrating. As for the food, we didn’t try breakfast, but they use frozen pizzas that lacked flavour, while the chips were undercooked oven chips. That said, overall, we’ve felt very welcome during our stay. It’s been a comfortable and pleasant temporary home given the circumstances.
We stayed in the twin room which was very basic and the beds were quite narrow but comfortable. Breakfast food could have been a bit hotter.
