We came and stayed here in Manchester for the first day of my new job. The hotel did not disappoint at all! Very central and lots of close pubs, shops and restaurants. The room faced the cathedral and despite the pub below it was very very quiet. Room was spacious. Totally worth it for the price 💯. Only negative point might be the room a bit dusty at some place but nothing alarming . Would definitely come back and/or recommend
It was quirky and interesting. Beware the uneven floors! The room was clean and comfortable. It was a little noisy due to location in the early hours. The staff were pleasant and the traditional breakfast was excellent.
Historic hotel in a very good location and clean. Price: £77 for 2 nights without breakfast -> at this price, it's a good value for money despite a few flaws (I was in room 9): a push-button shower that doesn't allow you to choose the water flow or temperature (unbelievable in the 21st century), a simple tiled sink that doesn't allow you to put your toiletries on, the alarm of the building opposite that goes off every morning around 6 a.m., not enough electrical outlets in the room despite the presence of a kettle, a fan, and an iron. Apparently, the English still don't know about double glazing (there are some adapted to older buildings).
Good price. Clean & comfy room. Nice staff. Good location. Bar below was nice with good food & drink options. No complaints.
A great hotel, lovely staff. I booked a single room for the night which was spotlessly clean and had everything I needed. The building is very old and floors are uneven but it's all part of the charm! Great price and brilliant location near the Arndale Centre, I would definitely stay here again!
