Had an amazing over night stay in one of the superior king rooms! And it was beautiful!! We chose breakfast as an option and the food was delicious! All very fresh no stale left overs!! You have access to the pool and the salt sauna room & jacuzzi. You can book spa treatments I would advise doing that in advance! Will deffo be going back for one of our girlie sleepovers!
It was a great experience. I purchased a spa bread deal with my friend. We arrived for our treatments at 2pm at the reception of the spa. We did the consultation, picked our treatments and we got robes and towels and were taken to a changing room. The treatment was really good. I had back massage, exfoliation and mini facial. The relaxation room is a great experience! The facilities are ok although we didn’t use much of them. Room was lovely but there was a stain on my duvet and on the carpet. We went to town for some food and then came back. Breakfast was great. Lots of choice and the food was tasty, except the scrambled eggs… I never tasted anything tasteless and of wired consistency… Overall highly recommend!
Hotel is really well taken care of and is really nice. However the issue is with noise isolation on some floors as the hotel is next to rail tracks - the most the reception could offer not due to their fault were earplugs as they were fully booked out. :( The reception staff were very lovely when I reached out on another try (thanks so much to the gentleman who helped out that night!) and found a different room in the end!
Just had a 1 night stay with my partner at the Midland Hotel. We have been here before for drinks and food, but this was our first time staying. We did arrive early and our room was not ready, which is perfectly understandable. The receptionist took our luggage and we made full use of the bar, which was well stocked and had plenty of seating. Unfortunately we did end up having to wait a lot longer for our room (an hour past our check in time). However, the reception team made us very comfortable and we ended up with two sets of free drinks and two free breakfasts, which was more than acceptable for the inconvenience. When we did get into the suite, we found it to be perfect, well maintained and beautifully presented. We had room service food delivered, again it was delicious and good quality. £7 delivery charge for room service was a little steep though. The spa was nice for the free hour, however I wouldn’t pay for any additional time as an hour was more than enough. I can’t comment on any treatments they offered as we didn’t have any. Check out was a breeze as it was all done online. Every member of staff we spoke with were friendly and helpful. All a great credit to the hotel! Overall it was a lovely relaxing stay, yes there were some slight problems, but they were well dealt with and the free drinks/breakfast more than covered any inconvenience caused.
This charming stay provided a masterclass in how a hotel should be run. Staff are friendly and professional, nothing is a problem to them. The reception area is beautifully decked out in ambient hanging lights, which sit well on the classic interior of the building. My room was massive, spotless and had windows that actually open. Who doesn’t love fresh air? I had to leave early for London and the receptionist insisted I take breakfast as a takeaway, dashing off and grabbing it for me. I would definitely return. Location is great too. It was also cheaper than the nearby Wilde Aparthotel, where your room isn’t cleaned daily, the reception is on the ninth floor and there’s no room service.
