Let us start with the remarkable reception staff. Who make every effort to make your stay enjoyable. Not many hotel staff go as far as these guys and girls to remember your name so they can greet you each time correctly. Outstanding in my opinion. Kyaw who dealt with us made our check in enjoyable and gave us lots of helpful information. Our stay including spa and amazing breakfast. I cannot say the fusion restaurant was my thing but it did taste good and will give us a memory.
This hotel is in the perfect location really, one on of the main stretches in Manchester you are bound to be near your destination of choice. We stayed here to visit nearby Co-Op Live arena, which was just down the road for us. The hotel is absolutely stunning and great combination of old meets new, period meets modern etc. The way the designs have been bought together is seamless and superb! The hotel lobby, reception and atrium is beautiful and very appealing. A lovely atmosphere too. The check-in staff were polite, but stopped short of offering to get help with luggage, which is something I would’ve expected for a 5-star venue. Regardless, the suites are lovely and are based inside the original building and not the modern extension. We had Suite 522 and had a lovely private terrace. Worth noting though that our suite was totally different to that shown online in terms of amenities and the physical layout and seating in the room, which was a bit of a set back. The breakfast restaurant is a lovely environment and really great decor. But that’s where the positives end for this. There are simply too many tables crammed into a very small space, meaning you’re on top of everyone whilst eating. When the table next to you wants to get up, they’re uncomfortably close to putting their butt in your face! Similarly, the layout of the breakfast offerings is beautiful and very visually appealing, but again, there is just not enough space to manoeuvre without bumping into fellow guests or staff. This we found to be a major setback to us, as we simply don’t like overcrowding at all.
Beautiful hotel spa facility, second visit. We got a Swedish couples massage. Using the relaxation room and pool, steam,sauna and swimming pool area. Lovely and friendly staff everytime we have visited. So calm and professional. Area is always so quiet and relaxing and not full, which I prefer. Only improvements would suggest is fixing the second shower as less water comes through other then that amazing facility and the shower is amazing with different settings, would be nice to have complementary shower gel and shampoo for the shower area so you do not need to bring your own.
Had a lovely stay here for the one night with a few friends. Have stayed in Manchester many times and this hotel will definitely be one I’ll be returning too! The staff at reception were super friendly, especially Kyaw - he genuinely couldn’t be more helpful. The spa and pool area was lovely and clean. So relaxing after a long day! Beds were comfy and we all had a great nights sleep. Will be coming back here soon!
My boyfriend & I really enjoyed our stay. The hotel, facilities & spa are well maintained with the spa being easily accessible throughout the weekend. The reception team are welcoming & helpful. The food was amazing! The steak and peppercorn corn sauce was full of flavour! Only parts I would say could improve is the shower in the rooms & maybe mounting tvs on wall for a sleeker look. The shower was very standard and does not reflect 5 star! Not much water pressure but it got the job done. Lastly, coffee from in room dining wasn't great. Overall an enjoyable stay! :)
