We had the LOVELIEST, and I mean loveliest, stay at this gorgeous boutique hotel in Manchester! I was in town to play a concert and the staff very generously allowed us to check in early and, seeing the amount of luggage we had, upgraded us to a suite on the first floor with more space. The rooms were beautifully appointed and the beds were incredibly comfortable. This place has so much charm, but perhaps the best part was the kind, generous and helpful staff who work here! They were outstanding and went out of their way to make us feel right at home. Having breakfast with first class espresso and a fresh omelette delivered right to our door was the icing on the cake. I travel for a living and sometimes I cannot believe places like this even exist! I will certainly be back!
Great experience! First time staying at The Cow Hollow, blown away by how friendly and welcoming the staff were. Man on the desk (didn’t get name) was so welcoming and took a genuine interest in why we were visiting Manchester. We were down for the Manchester United V Rangers, which I believe some hotels/bars had some concerns about. Not here. Great welcome, great conversation from both person on front desk and I believe female manager. Let us check in our luggage early and check in early. Nice touch of the bags been taken to room for you. The decor is stunning, the rooms are perfect. The comps and the little fine details of branding and the recommendations were really exceptional. Overall a perfect experience. Will definitely return.
A fantastic boutique hotel with helpful staff. The rooms are small, but have everything you would need in them. The hotel offers complimentary teas and coffees and has a cocktail bar. There was free prosecco and nibbles between 5 and 7 pm, hot chocolate and cookies delivered to our room when we got back to our room and breakfast (including juice and coffee) delivered to the room in the morning as there is not a dining space. A lack of storage in the room might put people off staying for a longer period, but for a night or two, it was great!!
I stayed here for a single night to recover from a red eye flight. It was exactly what I needed to just relax for several hours. You could not ask for friendlier or more considerate staff, their team is the best thing about the hotel. The bed was very comfortable, the sheets soft, duvet big and fluffy. I slept like a log. The little considerate details; fizz at 5pm, available milk and cookies around 10pm, wide range of teas/coffees/milks are charming. The hotel is cute, and the rooms are pretty. The old-world charm of the building does have its downsides - be warned the hotel is in no way accessible - be prepared for stairs and tight corners. My room was in the basement and the wifi was essentially nonexistent. Also the bathroom of the room I stayed in, while pretty, was tiny. The included breakfast, while nice, was also bijoux. More of a snack. But the whole breakfast-in-bed thing? Wonderful idea. Everyone should do it. On the whole a pleasant and homey stay, and I’d happily stay here again.
I have travelled across Europe and stayed at many hotels, this one takes the cake. It is so stylish and interesting. There are no plain white walls; there is a lot of character within the building. There is nothing wrong with basic white-walled rooms but it is just a nice change. The entrance is not the easiest to notice but the inside makes up for the simplicity of the building outdoors. They are an attentive and wonderful bunch of people. The location is perfect, it is a little away from the hustle and bustle of Manchester whilst close enough to walk to get to the main shopping areas. You can have cocktails brought to your room and they even do breakfast in bed. It is a nice complimentary breakfast, even if it is small. It is a great start to the day and something I have never experienced. It just made it that much better. They have a small bar, offering cocktails if an experienced bar staff is available. After 10pm, they offer cookies and milk which was just a wonderful addition to an already amazing time. We had some cookies and milk after we saw the Jonas Brothers. It hit the spot. They offer complimentary prosecco between I think it was 5-7 but we weren't available for that. They provide some information relating to nearby restaurants, cafes and general eateries. They recommend ones that they have been to and rate highly, which is another lovely touch. They also offer netflix in the rooms which is ideal. We enjoyed ourselves even if we were not there long. We will be staying there for future concerts as long as there is space. I look forward to it
