The place is not only outdated, but also extremely dirty and unhygienic. You touch the washer or dryer and your hands get dirty. No wonder people bring wet wipes. I do too. I've never seen anyone cleaning anything. So much for a place called "The cleaning centre". The stools next to machines are disgusting filthy. Washing machines and dryers are faulty. I entered £3 and got my bedding done in 15 mins cold wash, despite of hot wash selected. Dryers are not any better. After 30 mins drying on high heat half laundry is still damp. You open the door to unload laundry, and the door shuts itself back, so you have to unload your laundry with one hand while holding the dirty door with the other. So awkward! There's nobody ever present to report the faults to. Nobody inspects nor services the machines. I came home with my bedding not cleaner than before the wash. They don't deserve even 1star.
New review: less than half of the dryers get upto high temperature, meaning you are paying more money and wasting time trying to dry clothes. Old review: A decent laundrette. Prices have been increased withing the last few months. £5 for a large wash, £3 for a small wash. Only a few dryers seem to get up to a good temperature, there a few you have to put the extra money in to dry clothes for longer.
I live in Castleton and this launderette is in the Spotland area. The launderette near me is expensive and smelly - so I don't bother going in there. I then discovered this launderette and it's just perfect. £5 for the large washing machine which easily fits 2 large duvets and 3 pillows. It's only half an hour for a full wash cycle - which is perfect for me I've started coming here once a month now.. Highly recommend 👍 👍👍👍👍
We are in a Jamath and took two bags of clothes for wash and dry. Amazed by the service we received and the price was very reasonable, all under £10. Definitely will use it again and recommending others to use it. VERY GOOD SERVICE!!!!!
Very good machines £2 (25 minutes washings) on small machines and £4 (30 minute)on big machine which is ideal for massive duvet also 50p for 7½ mins on dryers
