Walking around Northern Quarter, found this great pub purely by accident. What a great find this was. Weren't sure if it was dog friendly or not at first? Even better it was. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Food was great really loved it. Even the school sponge at the end 😋😋 Asked for some sausages for the dog, did them no problem quite thick sausages. Will definitely be coming back 👏👏
Absolutely lovely pub, restaurant hotel. Friendly staff. Above excellent service. Real ale crafted beers. Choices were amazing. I would and will recommend this venue to anyone. Easy to get to follow the tramlines at the side of the Arndale then turn into market Street/Turner Street. Thanks 👍
For the second year running we've dined at the Abel Heywood for our annual Christmas get together of retired colleagues. Our hosts and serving staff were welcoming, and the food ( which we had pre ordered when we made the booking) was fantastic. Very tasty and value for money . ( Don't waste your money buying food at the Christmas Markets, spend a little more and receive far better ) The place has a tremendous atmosphere, clean and well arranged. ( the table seating is well spaced and not on top of each other.) The Abel Heywood is certainly on our return list for future events. Highly recommended.
Myself and a group of friends ate here last night and had a fabulous time! I booked the table in advance as there were twelve of us and pre-ordered our food ahead. I had to adjust the order a few times, so thank you Elliot for your patience with that! Unfortunately I didn't get the name of our server last night, but she really was outstanding! Very attentive, despite the restaurant being extremely busy. Every time we ordered more drinks, they we delivered to the table so quickly. The food was delicious and the whole pub had a great atmosphere. Overall just an amazing experience. Thank you!
So I booked a table for Myself and 10 friends for my birthday, and the whole experience was nothing short of exceptional. The staff were friendly, polite and very attentive and couldn't do enough for us. The lunch was simply fantastic. We ordered 5 sharing Sunday lunch sharing platters and 2 individual meals, all of which came out at the same time and were cooked to perfection. The amount of lunch we recieved was outstanding and the highlight of the day was a dessert coming out with a very special touch. Thank you for making the day just perfect. If you've not yet visited Abel Heywood then make it so. We'll definitely be back!
