Very disappointed in my experience. The optician was wonderful and seemed very knowledgeable, but things quickly went downhill once I was passed on to the saleswoman. While I was picking my frames, she was incredibly opinionated and kept pushing her own suggestions, even though I knew the type of frames I liked. It felt like she was in a rush to get me to choose something quickly, rather than actually listening to what I wanted. Then, while she was explaining that I had no option but to thin down the lenses (which would be an additional £100 that hadn’t been mentioned at any point before), she started making rude, sweeping comments about how useless men are. This was all while my boyfriend was sitting right there at the table with us. It was incredibly uncomfortable, completely inappropriate, and totally unprofessional. After reluctantly agreeing to the extra charge, I left and arranged for my partner to collect the glasses once they were ready. When he brought them home, I opened the first pair and found the frame was completely skewed. Not just slightly off, but so bent it’s totally unwearable. The second pair is also a bit wonky. I understand glasses might need a slight adjustment if they’re not picked up in person, but sending out a pair in that condition, looking like the frame had been crushed, is just unacceptable. I’m extremely unhappy with the whole situation, especially as I’m not in Manchester for the next 10 days and I’m now stuck with two pairs of glasses — one unwearable and one wonky. Would not recommend this Specsavers at all.
Quick and efficient service when collecting my glasses. The lady who served me was an asset to the company, she was incredibly friendly, polite and speedy - all without making me feel rushed. The glasses collection was easy and I was immediately told where to wait and how long said wait would be. I ordered from another store as well, which is a service I wasn't aware of previously. My glasses arrived as requested and fit perfectly. The shop assistant thoroughly checked this too before I left the store.
It was very busy but my appointment was in time. Very nice helpful staff, I had my first eye appointment. Facilities were all good and clean and well looked after. Feels like the place cares!
Booked an eye test for the following day. Process was simple and easy, was dealt with by optician Una who was excellent. Very kind and helpful, willing to answer my questions and took extra steps to rule out potential hereditary eyesight issues. They took their time explaining my options for lenses and contacts. The glasses selection process was great, assisted by Adil who was extremely patient and helpful. Able to offer the one hour express service for one of two pairs which was extremely helpful. Overall, great experience. The price of lens shaving is slightly high, but overall an excellent experience.
Opticians lady herself was great fantastic lady welcoming explained my eye questions but when choosing my glasses handed me over to a young lady not helpful, just left me to chose my glasses not very helpful. Maybe that's how they work now before someone would help you choose glasses. Anyhow when I went to pick my glasses up a lovely smiling lady welcomed me in and I got my glasses of her.
