Really poor service - it took them over 6 months from us making the initial pre-payment to them completing a simple mortgage transfer - which took us up to the last week before our mortgage offer expired. It was all made unnecessarily stressful. They use jargon that you can't understand and not a single attempt was made to make things a bit more palatable for us. Won't be using again.
Just purchased our first house with the assistance of RW&S. The sale went very smoothly and they didn’t need to be chased for anything but on the flip side we spend time worrying for nothing because we never got any updates. We weren’t even told our exchange date was going to be the day of completion until the day before. Everyone was really lovely and professional I just wish more info was given to customers so everyone is on the same page
This firm is our buyers solicitors and it’s been a month my solicitors/estate agents have had no updates after several e-mails. When the estate agents got through to someone today they repeated the same thing they mentioned a few weeks ago that searches will be carried out. They keep repeating for over a month that they are getting the file ready when the searches should have been applied for a while back. We are in a chain and due to these solicitors there has been an unnecessary delay because they repeat the same thing and keep delaying. The house I am buying is way ahead in terms of process because the solicitors are active and not lazy. My solicitors are unable to get any response via e-mail or calls as they always seem to be away
