Great full English breakfast, the staff are so nice with customers and value for money
Great working class breakfast. No frills. Decent prices. Big portions. Plenty of buttered bread.
We stayed in hotel about three minutes walk from here and it was always packed but our last morning we managed to grab a table and we had a delicious full traditional breakfast, swapping some items for others was no trouble, staff were polite and the food was yummy and worth the money spent
The staff are lovely and find a table for you even when it's busy. The food however, was very average. I had a jacket potato with cheese and beans, and it came with unmelted cheese on top of the beans. I like my cheese melted on a jacket potato when served with beans, and I've never been served it like this before. The price was also very expensive for what it was. I ended up paying around £9.50 for a jacket potato and a drink! I thought prices were cheaper in cafes.
I've been to this cafe / restaurant a few times . One thing I have noticed is how expensive it's become . Fish & chips 4 slices of bread 2 cans of drinks & a small curry sauce come to £36.85.😲 And I wasn't mind but the bread must be the cheapest bread they can find . my wife and I will eat somewhere else in the future . It still gets busy, but not like it used to . This place has become outdated with its coronation street menus and pictures of the old actors on the wall .the owner needs to spend money on the place by doing it up . And stop disrespecting loyal customers with sky-high prices . It is absolutely ridiculous the prices they are charging. The staff are OK & and polite but always seem to be rushed of their feet and never smile This used to be I lovely place to eat but not anymore. The owner will no doubt blame it on the price of ingredients and high rent . For his sky, high prices . He as to make a living yes but not with my money. So if you are visiting Manchester, avoid eating and this place. As there are so many cafes / restaurants to choose from . £36.85 You're having a laugh 😮
