New landlords so they will build up their business soon. Historical pub, with an outside seating area. Just out of the town centre but parking seemed easy enough. Great staff.
Just had a nice chilled out night in the Red Bull with our daughter and a few of her friends. We played darts and had a few pints, with a good time being had by everyone!
Lovely welcoming feel. An old building with all it quirkiness. Comfortable, relaxing. Great night sleep before airport trip. Stayed room 2, lovely shower. We will be staying again. If you are not a fan of corporate hotels this is an option. Great bar. Everything closed at 11pm so quiet night. No breakfast but try Covent Garden cafe next door. A massive breakfast for less than £6, beats airport prices. Only down side was parking limited. Ok as arrived late, be careful of pay & display. Only negative for accommodation was no spoons for cup tea in morning and could do with decaf coffee sachets. Looking for airport stop over try this. Will be going back and recommending to friends. Only 30min to Manchester airport and that's with road works at 10am. To the licensees thank you for your warm welcome and hospitality
Only visited during a weekday been a couple of times and not busy during the day. I imagine it's probably busy at weekends, nice big old pub freindly staff
Bit out of main area, but great interior, decent beer, worth a walk up the hill
