The best chicken thighs or wings in a sublimely smoky & spicy rojo sauce. Gorgeous pork steak and hispi cabbage too. Staff are attentive and kind. Decor is cool.
Lovely little tapas place. In good weather it's nice to sit outside. Inside is not dog friendly so pray for good weather if you plan to come with your dog. The wines (especially the rioja) are great and all the dishes and service were excellent. I will be returning!
Felt really let down by our last experience at your restaurant. We have visited before and even traveled to Altrincham just to dine here. Initially, the experience was good; we were offered water, the specials were read to us, and our drink and food orders were taken. However, things quickly went downhill. There were many staff members standing around talking, and no one came over to our table unless absolutely necessary. The food was disappointing—the squid was extremely salty, the chorizo stew was terrible (we didn't eat it), and the meatballs were also inedible. When I raised my concerns, the response was simply that we wouldn’t be charged for those dishes, without any further conversation or follow-up. We came for a meal, not to receive a free meal. A little personal touch and some communication when things go wrong would have been appreciated. Additionally, one of our dishes was missing, and when we asked for the bill, we noticed a service charge was added. I would usually not mind paying this, but I felt it wasn't deserved this time because no one seemed to care about our complaints or make an effort to improve our experience. As a restaurant, I believe this approach would be beneficial. I hope this feedback is helpful, as we have enjoyed dining at your restaurant many times. It’s just disappointing that this time we felt let down.
Lovely little spot with great heart ❤️ staff were excellent - friendly and knowledgeable. Food was nic but... We've had nicer tapas in Manchester (in Sale and city centre), just more flavourful. But it was a nice evening.
Very much enjoyed our Sunday afternoon trip to Porta. Fantastic tapas, each dish was awesome. We ordered Bread in oil, croquettes, prawns, potatas bravas, scallops and tenderstem broccoli. The lager on draft was cracking as well. Very relaxed atmosphere, prefect spot for people watching if you get a table outside. Staff were very friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Very reasonable price for the quality of food. Highly recommend!
