Awful Communication - Would Not Recommend We used ONP for what should have been a simple, chain-free house purchase. It’s now been 16 weeks and still ongoing. The communication has been absolutely shocking from day one. Despite a completion date being provided by the seller’s solicitors, ONP completely ignored it. We called daily trying to get updates but could never get through to the person dealing with our case. In the entire 16-week process (so far), we managed to speak to our case manager twice on the phone for clarity. Emails were not even acknowledged, and any questions we had were left unanswered. At one point, we even had a call from the estate agent telling us that ONP weren’t responding to them — and that the seller’s solicitors themselves couldn’t get through to ONP either. That really said it all. We raised a formal complaint, but it took two weeks just to get a response from her manager — who basically brushed off all of our concerns and made excuses for their lack of communication, offering no real apology or genuine solution. Buying a house is stressful enough without your own solicitors going completely silent. If you value clear communication and a proactive legal team, I’d seriously look elsewhere. ONP turned what should have been a straightforward process into a right pain.
I had a great experience with Chiara. As a foreigner and a first-time home buyer in the UK, I had no prior experience and faced many challenges during the process. Brilliant service. People always say buying as house is stressful but, as a first time buyer, they made the process so simple and no stress at all. Not really needed much contact with them but when emailing/messaging they've always replied within a day. I would say if you're comfortable scanning in documents and using an app/email then there's really no complexity to the process. Completed in less than 12 weeks, highly recommend.
