Just returned home from a fantastic night away at Native Manchester! The location is perfect for shopping and dining in the city, and situated right next to Piccadilly station with underground car parking. We were looking for somewhere to stay that we could feel home from home, just to chill out, and Native exceeded all our expectations! We stayed in a premium one bed apartment it was absolutely fantastic, very spacious and immaculately clean. The building is unique, and apartments are furnished to a very high standard. The lobby has a coffee and eating area and on Saturday night there was a DJ on the decks which was really cool. Native has a very friendly & chilled atmosphere, with a trendy & upmarket vibe. We would like to give a special mention & thanks to Charlie on reception, he was so friendly and helpful when I called up regarding making a booking, and then when we arrived, we couldn’t get the Chromecast to work, he took the time to come up and sort it all out for us! Charlie definitely made our stay much more enjoyable thank you so much! I would highly recommend staying here and if we return to Manchester we will definitely be back!
We booked this hotel relatively last minute and were pleasantly surprised with the price. Upon arrival we were blown away with how spacious and stylish the room was (the hotel is in an old warehouse). It felt like a hotel at a much higher price point! There was also a bar and pop up shop on the ground floor. This will 100% be our hotel of choice from now on whenever we visit Manchester. Highly recommended!
I don't know what to write because in some categories we were very satisfied with our stay, but in several other categories this hotel did not meet our requirements. Pro: The location of the hotel is perfect. Just behind Piccadilly Station, minutes from the vibrant Northern Quarter and close to Piccadilly Fields etc. The building itself is beautiful too! It's a renovated old warehouse with a stunning courtyard! The rooms are nice, there's no lousy carpet on the floor which is good. Cons: We stayed there a few nights so we had different experiences with the front desk. Some staff were very friendly and helpful while others were extremely unfriendly, rude and not interested at all. In my opinion, this should work better in a hotel like this. The fridge next to reception was on but the drinks were all very warm - this wouldn't be a problem if the bar was open. But it wasn't! On Thursday evening there was only a sign saying ‘Bar closed today’. So we weren't able to get a cold drink at all in this hotel. Very disappointing. The answer to where we could get a cold drink was ‘outside’. Room service: This establishment was advertised as a ‘hotel’ on hotels.com. But it wasn't really a typical hotel. We spent several nights there and our room was not cleaned once. So no fresh towels, nothing. My room didn't have a window to the outside, it was a window to the courtyard. So I wasn't able to let fresh air into my room, which is a minus in my opinion. No airconditioning either. Overall, it's a good place to stay. But for the same price we could have stayed at the Hilton, for example - I personally wouldn't book this hotel again.
Had a really lovely stay & would highly recommend. Had two interconnecting one bedroom apartments & it was really spacious with the doors open. Staff in hotel & restaurant were all so friendly & very helpful. Had Sunday lunch & breakfast in the hotel & we all enjoyed it. Also the vibe is such a chilled & relaxed couldn’t ask for more.
The best thing about this hotel is the rooms. They are massive, comfy and retro stylish. However the American company who has taken over the hotel is stupidly requiring passports, not photos or links but real passports to be in the hand of the guest before they can access their room. This was made clear to me in a series of text messages AFTER I had paid and (obviously) wasn’t carrying my passport with me around the UK. bring a UK citizen. The receptionist let me through but said soon no one will be allowed in without ID verification. They do t allow drivers licences or anything else. Just an actual original passport. Another faulty and idiotic thing is their so called on line checkout. I clicked on the link this morning and the was no mention of checking out; just checking in. These Americans are idiots who, if they persist in these ridiculous schemes will crash a business which, until they took over, was doing well. The staff all agree. .
