Expensive Guinness, that different bar staff charge their own prices for but you won’t get a pint of it for less than £7.20. Some of the bar staff take the piss with “ and your own” tip. A tall, slim bald fella took £8.70 for a tip. I’ll never go in again and the Guinness is average.
Tried to go to the restaurant next door and since I was told it was a three hour wait I went to Mulligans instead. I’ve never had Guinness in Ireland but the Guinness at Mulligans is exceptional. You also cannot go wrong with a Baby Guinness.
My wife and I recently visited Mulligan's Manchester during a day trip from Dublin. Having heard so much about their famous pint of Guinness, reputed to be the best outside of Ireland, I was eager to try it. When we arrived, the place was buzzing with activity, and there were queues to get into the bar. To avoid the wait, we decided to head upstairs instead. The atmosphere was lively, and the crowd added to the charm of the place. However, I found the pint a bit disappointing. Perhaps it was because of how busy it was, or maybe the pints served in the main bar are indeed better. That said, the overall experience was enjoyable, and I’m determined to give Mulligan’s another chance. Next time, I’ll make sure to try the pint directly from the bar and hopefully discover what makes it so famous. Looking forward to visiting again!
If you’re in search of a rich and creamy pint of Guinness in Manchester, you won’t find a better spot than this one. The atmosphere is inviting, and each pour is crafted to perfection, making for an unforgettable indulgence.
We stopped by as we heard about its authentic Irish bar experience boasting best Guinness outside of Dublin, we arrived being told to go to the upstairs which looked unfinished and very tacky function room with then being charge £7.30 for a pint that was just average, swiftly had them and left for one of the bars nearby. Wouldn’t rush back and would advise anyone to give it a miss
