Left another session with Max at Moonchild seriously impressed. I came in this time for a black mamba piece to complement a Kobe Bryant tattoo I already had, and he absolutely nailed it. This wasn’t my first time getting work done by him — I also have a Lego Star Wars tattoo from Max that gets compliments constantly, and this new one is already getting the same reaction. Max is super professional, easygoing, and never pushy — which really sets him apart. The whole process feels relaxed but still really focused, and it’s clear he puts care into both the art and the experience. He’s into a lot of the same stuff I am, so chatting during the session just flowed naturally. If you’re after a sharp eye for detail, and top-quality work, I can’t recommend Max and Moonchild enough. I’ll definitely be back again.
Max and Anna are fantastic. Max is exceptionally skilled not only at art but his tattooing methods. I've had two tattoos with him so far. One being superfine, which gets a lot of comments. The other is currently healing. Anna has also recently started layering some one else's work on my hand. She made zero comments on the tattoos, even though it was very clear they were conducted with negligence. Both asked if I was 'ready' before starting and Max sends a follow up email to ensure the tattoo is healing OK, which is quite rare in the trade. These all may seem like little things but they are big things when you're trusting someone to tattoo you. Both are reasonably priced and I now wouldn't go anywhere else for work. Admittedly Max silently dreads me going to him because I know what I want, what I don't want but can't explain 🤣🙃, whilst I also drag Anna in on decision. Only downside..limited on road parking..so arrive early to park on car parks near. Thanks both Rosie x
Absolutely loved my experience here! It was my first tattoo and Max was incredible - He was so kind and really put me at ease. We discussed design, made little tweaks as he wanted to make sure I was happy and even more incredibly I had no pain despite the tattoo being on my ribs. He really is a miracle worker - I’ll be back for definite. Thank you so much Max! ☺️
Honestly cannot recommend moonchild enough, such a wonderful little studio! Really clean and comfortable which is amazing for long sessions! Both me and my partner go to Max he’s out of this world talented. Had my first tattoo with him and now I’m onto my sixth! All the artists are amazing at a range of styles plus they’re all super friendly! Dare I say the best tattoo artists in Manchester 🙂↕️
I can not recommend enough! I've been tattooed by Max for a couple years now, and I'm always super impressed and happy with the work he does. Incredibly talented, and a really great guy! The tattoo shop aswell is super inviting, friendly atmosphere, and very clean. Highly recommend, and I will continue coming back.
