We stayed for three nights over the Easter weekend with our little girl. When we got to the room nothing was in place for her to sleep in! I went to reception and this was quickly resolved. The room was nice and big enough for the three of us. Great location with great access to trams and busses. We ate in the restaurant on Saturday and whilst the food wasn't anything fancy, it was ok. My little girls meal was really good and included a drink, main and dessert. Our waiter Thomas was absolutely fantastic, really friendly and helpful. He took the time to speak to us about where we lived and was super friendly. We saw him again this morning and he welcomed us back as soon as he saw us, which is always nice. We were a bit disappointed with the room not being tidied or beds made on the Sunday, we were left fresh towels but no replenishment of tea, coffee etc. we asked at reception for this on our way out for dinner and was met with a friendly face who assured us that they would be replenished by the time we got back but this unfortunately wasn't the case and the phone didn't work to enable me to ring down. All in all a great weekend!
Andrea was incredibly welcoming we could see his warm smile even before entering the building. He offered us a complimentary drink, and when I mentioned I don't drink alcohol, he thoughtfully made a non-alcoholic version just for me. That personal touch made the experience even more special.
The hotel is tired in parts as were some of the rooms allocated to our group, being in need of refurbishment and a lick of paint. Other areas were perfectly ok though. Food and drinks were fine too. Sadly check in was horrendous. The young lady on the front reception desk was rude, hostile and incredibly unpleasant. I would suggest a career change or retraining, possibly to a back room function where she doesn't have face to face contact with the public! It was the most unpleasant check in experience we have ever been faced in over 20 years. Other guests also commented on her unprofessional, surly and dismissive attitude. Some excellent staff here however, namely Ben, Fabina (or Fahina- sorry) and Tom were friendly, super efficient, polite and really helpful which was great. They deserve recognition for their attention to detail, positive and approachable manner. They were brilliant, especially at breakfast. The overall experience was positive and the 3 stars were solely due to the front desk experience. (It should be said that the guy also on reception was a total contrast and really welcoming. He also looked mortified with his colleagues behaviour.) Work to be done (in part!) on improving the facilities and customer service we suggest.
Albert and Zohiab had an incredible stay at the 5-star hotel. From the moment they arrived, the service was outstanding — friendly staff, smooth check-in, and a real attention to detail. Their room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and offered stunning views. Every morning started with a delicious breakfast buffet, and the hotel’s atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy every moment. After a few days of pure comfort and luxury, Albert and Zohiab checked out feeling refreshed, impressed, and already planning their next visit. Definitely a stay to remember!”
Hotel is located perfectly for shopping and drinks. Our room was basic but you do have options to upgrade. The breakfast was honestly the best in any hotel I've stayed in. It was fresh, tasty and amazing choice. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. One added touch was the free water and sparkling water at the main reception. We would 100 percent return when we come back to Manchester
