Perfect spot for a city centre stay. Clean spacious rooms,massive beds and an hot,powerful enough shower. Not badly priced either for such a central spot,close enough to walk to great bars and eateries,staff are efficient and friendly and a nice lobby bar open until midnight .
Since the two rooms are separated by a door, we can not only hear the sound of sex next door, the sound of closing the door, and the sound of hanging clothes. Even the voice of our conversation will be heard by the next door. I often stay in four-star hotels in other countries. This check-in is really the worst experience I have ever experienced. Since our room is connected to someone else's room, only one door is needed to separate it, so there is no privacy and sound insulation at all.
Absolutely appalling experience at Manchester Marriott Piccadilly. Arrived at 2 PM, only to be told my room wasn’t ready until 4:30 PM – completely unacceptable for a so-called premium hotel. Once in the room, there was no phone to contact reception, and the hair dryer didn’t work. I flagged this to reception, and they promised to install a phone – surprise, surprise, it never happened. No water bottles in the room, minibar completely empty, and the receptionist had the audacity to suggest drinking from the bathroom sink, claiming it was drinkable. To top it off, the room floor was dusty and poorly cleaned. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Marriott. If this is what they call hospitality, they should be ashamed. Never staying here again. Save your money and book somewhere else
I visited the spa and had some treatments done for my birthday. While the treatments themselves were good overall service was poor. We were supposed to have an afternoon tea along with our spa day but it was delayed multiple times, then when finally served was not in criteria of our dietary restrictions that had been communicated with the spa prior to arrival. In the end after the delays in getting served lunch we had to leave hungry as had other plans for the day even-though we payed for the food within our spa day deal. Staff were not apologetic. Finally, when I have since emailed regarding the bad experience in December (twice) I have not once been contacted back.

First, a special shout-out to Ken at the bar—his cocktail skills are unmatched! He consistently crafted the perfect Cosmos, making each evening at the bar a delight. Ken's attention to detail and friendly service made a real impact on our overall experience. Additionally, when we encountered an issue with our room, after a few calls, the hotel staff handled it professionally. Leon, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of. His quick response and commitment to resolving the issue made all the difference, turning what could have been a frustrating moment into a positive experience. Overall, the Piccadilly Marriott offered us excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and a memorable stay. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for top-tier service in a fantastic location!
