Stayed here. And had awesome experience overall. Wanted to specific about Finny Manager, was so friendly and professionally handled. In the way of explaining about available facilities and availability was much appreciated one. Had good sleep and breakfast was wonderful. Fantastic room presentation and. Was so clean. Really worth for money we pay. All the staffs were so friendly and professionally handled, hence stay remember always.
Clean, spacious hotel with good sized well finished rooms in a handy location. We had an overnight here after watching a concert at the apollo. Only let down by the very poor service at the bar, ordered cocktails and told there was a wait as they were quite busy Only to find 20 mins later we were still 11th in the queue and they'd not started any of them despite serving everyone else at the bar that were behind us. Refund requested eventually and given by an annoyed looking bar staff. Put a significant damper on the evening and we left the hotel to find a bar better able to cope.
Stayed a few times with work . Location is excellent. 5 min walk from the station and plenty of car parking near by. Room and staff are also great, bar and restaurant were ok., but pretty slow. Food is fine once you get it tonight. Breakfast and conference facilities are great.
I visited the spa and had some treatments done for my birthday. While the treatments themselves were good overall service was poor. We were supposed to have an afternoon tea along with our spa day but it was delayed multiple times, then when finally served was not in criteria of our dietary restrictions that had been communicated with the spa prior to arrival. In the end after the delays in getting served lunch we had to leave hungry as had other plans for the day even-though we payed for the food within our spa day deal. Staff were not apologetic. Finally, when I have since emailed regarding the bad experience in December (twice) I have not once been contacted back.
Very small chargeable car park, though others were close. Major issue was told only had 15 minutes to pay for parking, had to download the app, which wasn't working, wifi in room didn't work as didn't recognise me, so ended up ringing an automated number that the hotel gave me. Not the best of starts! After that was given a 20% off voucher for food and drink, but at the bar was only told could use once ! Paid for a city room view, not sure if lots of buildings were derelict, but looked great at night. Breakfast was fantastic 😋
