One of the few affordable places to stay as a solo traveler. A bit outside the center but easy to reach by bus. Room was basic but comfortable. I didn't interact much with the reception staff, but the gentleman at breakfast is definitely the highlight of the place! So friendly and even gave travel advice! Breakfast was pretty good for continental!
The staff are friendly, the room is clean with a quiet environment, they offer free wifi, and the breakfast is great. There's also a nice garden if you're looking to relax while reading or doing some tasks on your devices. The hotel is close to Platt fields park and lots of restaurants (mostly middle eastern). All in all, i think it is an excellent option for a good price.
Very warm and welcoming place. Very well managed. Great and quiet location with quite some trees. Very well connected by bus and bike. Rooms are old, but tidy. Excellent value for money.
I really don't understand why this hotel is rated with a 4.2. The hotel was extremely dirty: fungus, sperm cells on the chairs, walls, rotten shower tub, dirty bed, dirty sheets, rotten window frames with fungus on the frame of the window and the doors + cold shower. Complained at the receptionist and the only thing she cared was the cold shower. She came with me for a look and decided to give me a different room, which was not much better, besides the warm shower... Can you imagine I haven't taken photos of the rotten shower tub?! Outdoors is lovely, but that it the only positive. The receptionist didn't care, I booked a different hotel and received no questions on why etc. It is a cheap hotel, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be CLEAN! NEVER AGAIN
Stayed here for one night at the weekend, although from the outside the building doenst look up to much, the stay was actually better than the spa hotel we stayed in the previous night. The staff on reception were extremely welcoming, the room was basic but clean and everything inside worked. The location was great, we had a car so was able to go wherever but we also learnt from the lovely gentleman serving breakfast the next morning that there was a bus stop right outside the hotel that can take you into Manchester for £2. The breakfast was brilliant, and the mem working there were very friendly and helpful. Can't fault the hotel and would definitely return if we are ever in the area again
