I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was simple but very cozy, offering the perfect setting for a restful night’s sleep – I slept wonderfully. What stood out the most was the incredibly friendly staff, who were always helpful and attentive. The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of high-quality options that left nothing to be desired. Additionally, the public transport connections were excellent, making it easy and convenient to get anywhere. I will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel!
A very British place to stay. Really humble, clean and well equipped. Breakfast is sufficient, rooms are clean. Small but very comfortable. The area is really quiet and there's a park nearby, 2 minutes away from a bus stop to airport/centre and about 30-40 min to the centre by walk. Lovely yard. It's a really affordable place.
The property has really nice spacious rooms and good washroom. Very well organized with a port next to your bed and area to use to hang clothes. Breakfast was amazing. Good options and very fresh. Staff were very nice and helpful too. The building is a bit old so the rooms were not the most modern, and you can see this on the walls and ceiling. Also a bit of stains on the bedding. I told them I will be coming late and I will need a late checkout however they never mentioned that I will need to enter from the back to access the hotel and it was raining that day in Manchester so It was some extra walking in the rain.
The room we had was very tired, small and a bit dirty. Sink was tiny and my wife ended up cleaning her teeth in the shower as you had to kind of push your head under the mirror shelf to be able to hit the sink. I had to climb over the bottom of the bed as pushed against the corridor wall to fit it in. Breakfast was serviceable I would say and not for you if you are after a full english. £8 less than a premier inn at the time if you don't include the current meal deal and realistically I would say £30 less comfort and experience. Seems very popular with people who just want a cheap place to keep costs down when travelling for work, contracting jobs. Nor for us though trying to be stress free before a stressful next day in Manchester.
It's exactly what it says on the description, religious retreat in a little oasis within the city. Rooms are basic but clean and functional, basically reflected in the room rate. That said, there's an air of tranquillity in the place, a beautiful quadrangle with outside seating, calm, and time to reflect. Small bar, reasonable prices and decent breakfast. There's a lot of restaurants in easy walking distance and a nice park opposite. Easy access to public transport and good parking on site. Will go back again, we were going to a wedding so didn't have time to explore more.
