Got a bit worried when I red the reviews here. But room turned out to be pretty decent. Clean. Looked quite recently renovated. It was a corner room so had two windows. However - for the price you pay it’s just not worth it. The room was tiny. The shower barely spit out any water. They didn’t clean the room and changed the towels. Even if they have tried to sound proof the windows it’s just not working. The sound from the street and bars outside is very noticeable. It’s ok for one night. But the prices being this crazy I’d rather spend a little more at another better hotel.
Hotel VILE. The staff were lovely. Room was cleaned after one night, fresh towels etc. But the room number 12 had black mold in the bathroom and the bathroom stank of rot. The staff recommend the lower floor so god knows what the upper floor looks like. Only win is the location right on canal street if your after a dirty weekend (literally) then this is the perfect spot.
The lady at reception was lovely, very helpful, and gave me clear directions to find the best route to where I needed to go. The room was okay—nothing special but sufficient for my needs. The pillows were a bit lumpy, but overall, it was manageable. Unfortunately, I had a bad night's sleep due to a bright green light shining directly on the bed. When I rang reception, I was informed it was a safety light to alert people of fires. I've stayed in many hotels and have never encountered something like this before. It really disrupted my sleep, which is why my rating is so low. Additionally, the hotel is located on Canal Street, which can be quite noisy. This didn’t bother me as I came prepared with earplugs, but it’s something to keep in mind for light sleepers. The green light, however, was the main issue for me.
This hotel is in a great location in the middle of the bars and clubs in the Gay Village. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the shower had great pressure and the water temperature was perfect. Couldn’t fault the interaction we had with reception when checking in and out. The lady (unfortunately didn’t get her name) was very welcoming and friendly.
The bed linen didn't seem clean for a new customer. The bed was made but the linen didn't look fresh. There were a few bits in between the cover and the bottom sheet. The pillows were stained and quite old. The pictures were taken just after I arrived to the room. As per my point of view the bed was made it with the previous customers linen. You can see the creases in the pillow. I don't usually do reviews but this is the worse hotel I have been in Manchester. I don't mind anything else in a hotel room other than a clean linen in the bed.
