This beautiful hotel oozes charm and character. Reception has a real warmth and welcoming ambience with beautiful decor and history. Staff are very friendly and ready to assist. Our room was upgraded and Andrea was very helpful and knowledgeable from start. The entire hotel is just mind blowing from the large corridors, to directors stairwell. The Refuge bar and Restaurant too compliments the hotel. Dined here which again was great and also in Winter Harden. Kimpton offers happy hour in the Post Room which had a lovely calming feel.
Nothing special. Great reception area in a very special architecturally significant building. The rooms are average. The bar is spectacular to look at but service is poor. The restaurant/dining is average and theres a lot better places to go right outside the front door. Staff seemed disinterested.
This is a lovely hotel. Not the most modern I've stayed in but it doesn't need to be. When you walk in you'll see what I mean . Some beautiful furniture and touches. Service is outstanding. Everything was there and perfect. And if it wasn't there I rang and it was. Super clean. We also got drinks at the bar which were gorgeous. We got breakfast up in the room which was also lovely . Did I mention the location hahaha . If you are coning to Manchester for city centre anything- and there's so much to do- this hotel is in one of the best spots you could be in. As I say- not the most modern and luxury I've ever stayed in but right up there and with the rest of the experience... even reception and room service.... I have to say exceptional.
I have lived in the UK for a few years and this is one of the biggest “wow” experiences. Very good price/value - first time it hasn’t been ridiculously overpriced experience at a UK hotel. Clocktower is a beautiful building, beautiful atrium/hall, lovely smell, very kind and helpful staff. I will definitely recommend this hotel.
This place is so good! It is absolutely oozing with character, and not in a forced way. The hotel gym has clearly been designed by an actual gym goer (it’s excellent, cool vibes and all the equipment you could need including a Peloton and C2 rower - no squat rack though). Room service breakfast was wonderful and a great value. Hotel-branded soaps smelled heavenly and available for sale! Quick walk from the train station and very close to theaters. Only knock would be the elevators being used for both service and guests - but now I’m just nitpicking. Single rooms are single-sized but still quite luxurious.
