We had a great stay here. It's perfectly placed for Bridgewater Hall across the road, and an easy walk from plenty of pubs and restaurants along the canal in particular. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to drop our luggage ahead of check-in time, and ultimately got to check in early at no extra cost, too. The rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable.
Bed very comfortable, what I care about most on business. Breakfast good, the dinner average and much better places to eat outside hotel. Tired the first night so ate at hotel. Great location for most things, staff friendly.
Stayed for a week for the Northern Bar Show. The staff were amazing. They kindly let us use their fridge to store our products from the trade show which was super helpful. Special mention to Mathias and Pedro in the bar/restaurant who were extremely friendly and helpful. Also Laiba at the front desk who again was very helpful. I discovered when returning home that I had left some clothing in my room I have spoken with Bruce who has sorted it all out for me. Outstanding team!!!
Booked 1 year in advance and got put in the disabled room. Not an issue, but the door wouldn't close and the shower was low and the bed was too. Asked to be swapped to another room and was met with rudeness by the receptionist. It's a great location for concert venue but the room was very basic, no mini fridge, no extraction fan for the shower, so room was damp. Not the best experience to be honest.
The bedroom was clean and tidy, beds were comfortable and the staff were polite. Nice snack/drink bar at reception for any late night requirements, was nice to have when going up for the night. Breakfast was really nice, very fresh from the cooked food department. Wide variety of food options for breakfast, pretty impressed. Location is pretty central in Manchester, walking distance from this years Xmas markets and plenty of bars/restaurants. Would visit again.
