I will not recommend this hotel to anyone at all. To be honest it is in a perfect location, walkable distance to city centre shopping malls and everything else. But if you want a comfortable stay this is definitely not the one. First, it looks really chic in picture, but in fact the decorations and hardwares are quite old. You can see in the pictures the paints are coming off, they use light colour carpet but it looks greyish. Stickers are falling off and doorknob is just worn out. The room itself is very very small, that you find it hard to get a space to open the suitcase (cabin size) we eventually chose to lay it down next to the desk, thus we end up having no space to walk. The doors are super narrow. The main door is around 70cm width and the bathroom one is even less, around 60cm. I find it difficult to squeeze. (Declaration: BMI 20) Pillow is super thick (considering my hand can stretch up to 20cm width and the pillow is more than that) which is very uncomfortable. The side table is covered with fake grass and dirt just trapped inside🤢 also as mentioned by others in google review, the aircon is noisy (with some eerie sound in the middle of the night) and the dust filter is suuuuuuuuper dirty. The room has no view, it is quite dark even you open up all the curtains, and the lights are just….weak. Soundproof is also a major problem. We can literally hear what the people are talking next door. The main door is very thin so anyone passing by in front of your door we can actually hear them. Someone was taling really loud when they walked past and the noise level was as if they were in my room. And if unfortunately your neighbours does bot close their doors softly, you will probably get annoyed all the time. The whole room is just very uncomfortable in terms of everything. I know the front desk manager has been replying the negative comments in google review, and obviously the problem mentioned a few months ago was not fixed at all. There is no point to ‘say sorry oh we are sorry to hear blablabla’ but without making any solid changes. I am writing thjs review just to warn people not to choose this hotel to stay.
The staff were great, they gave us an hour extra for checkout. Everything was pretty well decorated and clean, but our room had a weird smell when we got there and then again the next morning. It had a hairdryer and even a clothes iron and ironing board. The isolation was a bit poor, we could hear the guys in the next room. The view was questionable :')
The room was fine, all clean but a bit cold (there was an electric radiator provided). The worst thing was the noise early in the morning - three collections of glass bottles, the third was at 6.14am. Then around 7am the laundry carts were collected/delivered and that seemed to go on for a long time. They were trundled in and out of the hotel just below my room and the noise seemed to echo round the building.
Location was excellent Vs price for two nights, and was easy to find. Staff at the desk were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable, slightly on the small side, and the TV was quite dated, but had every amenity you'd need.
Polite staff, comfortable room with all the amenities necessary. Great location in the city centre, however still very quiet. Comfortable beds, nice decor throughout, hotel easy to navigate and well maintained. Great value for money as well. Highly recommended, perfect stay! :)
