Hotel was ideally located for a visit to the Etihad Stadium. Room was functional, but clean and tidy, beds excellent and room well insulated from any street noise. Parking can be a challenge on match days, we were lucky to get the last space at the tram station. Staff were excellent, very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was adequate, but not as much choice as at other IBIS hotels I have stayed at. We will stay here again next time we watch football.
Room very clean and it was cleaned everyday, we didn’t have any problems. Very comfortable. Around 10 min walk to the picadilly station and 30 min picadilly gardens, or if you don’t wanna walk, you can get the tram almost in front of the hotel, around 3 or 4min walk. I definitely recommend and would stay there again. Staff was very nice, the only thing was that we asked if they had any ice (because we bought a can of coke and it was warm) and they said they didn’t have ice, which it’s weird but okay hahah If I could make a suggestion I would say that would be nice to have one option of food that’s gluten free. I’m coeliac and I was tired and didn’t wanted to go out to eat, but there was no option of this kind of food on the hotel. But it’s not a problem, there’s a restaurant that offer gluten free food around 15 min walk.
I was very disappointed with the room I was given. At first glance it was well laid out looked clean and the beds appeared very comfortable, not at all what I wanted from my budget experience. It was saved however by the very poor customer service, and when it was time to go to sleep the bed sheets were still damp. In the morning I found sitting on the toilet and closing the door wasn't an option as my knees would just bash into the door, this I found to be a rather unpleasant experience. Although this was closer to the image of ibis budget I was looking forward too.
First time staying at an ibis and I’m honoured to say it was a beautiful experience. Amazing staff, great service and lodging. Very comfortable beds and very good location and close to city centre. I will definitely be staying at Ibis more.
The location is very near to the main railwsy station and you have busses plying and stops very near. Also tram stop is wslkable distance I know this is a budget hotel. We were three and booked a room. The issue is the loo, when u sit on it, the door hits ur nose. This is the tinest loo i have ever seen. No offense, big people will have serious difficulty to enter the loo and do the business. Wonder how the authorities gave them permission to build loo which are so tiny in size Check the breakfast before ordering as you might be disappointed. I am fully aware it is budget, that does not mean customers are forced to stand and shit. Not sure if other room with two occupancy is the same.
