Hotel was fine, but the airport parking service they use under their name is not! Clearly no respect for the car. Settings changed to dynamic drive, dynamic spoiler engaged and left up when only automatically meant to activate over 70mph. Dread to think how it’s been driven. Won’t book with either again when cannot trust who they outsource to without declaring that.

Stayed for 1 night at the Ibis budget in a standard double room. Hotel location isn't in the best location, bit of a walk into the city centre. Might be ideal if you want to explore the area around the hotel but not if you want to explore the city centre itself. 20 minute walk to the Arndale etc. Check in was good and quick. Staff were professional and provided all information about the hotel that i needed. Lobby is big and bright with a seating area, football table and cafe area where breakfast is served. To clarify there is no cafe in the hotel but the area you have breakfast is like that. Room itself was a decent size with a king size bed. Room felt very basic and had seen better days but was clear. Room comes with a TV, Open wardrobe like many budget hotels. Full length mirror. Hairdryer. Very strange room layout with the bathroom. Shower and wash basin is in the room itself which could cause issues. Toilet is in a very tight but walled off room at least. No tea or coffee making in the room which is disappointing compared to other budget rooms. Bed was surprisingly comfortable though and had a great nights sleep. Room was clean as well. Breakfast was poor. Poor choice and basic. When you compared to the cooked options for a similar price at other budget hotels then its a real let down. The food they do serve at breakfast was all of decent quality though. Check out the full video review on my youtube channel @Travel.Stay.Explore

Room very clean and it was cleaned everyday, we didn’t have any problems. Very comfortable. Around 10 min walk to the picadilly station and 30 min picadilly gardens, or if you don’t wanna walk, you can get the tram almost in front of the hotel, around 3 or 4min walk. I definitely recommend and would stay there again. Staff was very nice, the only thing was that we asked if they had any ice (because we bought a can of coke and it was warm) and they said they didn’t have ice, which it’s weird but okay hahah If I could make a suggestion I would say that would be nice to have one option of food that’s gluten free. I’m coeliac and I was tired and didn’t wanted to go out to eat, but there was no option of this kind of food on the hotel. But it’s not a problem, there’s a restaurant that offer gluten free food around 15 min walk.

I was very disappointed with the room I was given. At first glance it was well laid out looked clean and the beds appeared very comfortable, not at all what I wanted from my budget experience. It was saved however by the very poor customer service, and when it was time to go to sleep the bed sheets were still damp. In the morning I found sitting on the toilet and closing the door wasn't an option as my knees would just bash into the door, this I found to be a rather unpleasant experience. Although this was closer to the image of ibis budget I was looking forward too.

Ideal location for both city centre & coop live/ Etihad stadium. We walked to the coop live for a concert which took about 20 minutes. Staff in the hotel were friendly and welcoming. I knew the hotel was going to be basic but I hadn’t anticipated quite how bare & clinical the rooms would be - it’s fine if you just need a clean, comfortable bed to sleep in though. The shower cubicle in the room was something I hadn’t ever seen before and seems bizarre, not sure how difficult it would have been to enclose the shower along with the loo? The toilet was a in a cubicle not much more than 2/3ft square - if you were a larger person you’d struggle to turn around and close the door. I was travelling with my 2 children for a concert and it was just somewhere to sleep afterwards so it was fine for our needs.
