I don't usually write reviews, but my experience at this hotel was so awful that I feel compelled to warn others. From the moment I stepped into the room, I was appalled. The place was filthy. I found a crisp in the bed (yes, in the actual sheets) and hairs stuck all over the shower walls. It looked like the room hadn't been cleaned at all before my arrival, the floor was unavoidably sticky. To make things worse, every single staff member I interacted with was rude and dismissive and wasn’t even present at the time of checkout, leading me to use the quick checkout service. Avoid this place at all costs. It’s not worth the price, no matter how cheap. Spend your money somewhere that actually cares about cleanliness and basic human decency.
Hotel was ideally located for a visit to the Etihad Stadium. Room was functional, but clean and tidy, beds excellent and room well insulated from any street noise. Parking can be a challenge on match days, we were lucky to get the last space at the tram station. Staff were excellent, very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was adequate, but not as much choice as at other IBIS hotels I have stayed at. We will stay here again next time we watch football.
Booked this hotel last minute for the Andrea Bocelli concert. It was the cheapest that I could find in central Manchester with good reviews. The room was clean and comfortable with a very comfortable bed and pillows, I slept very well. I did wear earplugs but that's because I am a light sleeper and I could hear the traffic outside which is normal considering we are in the middle of Manchester City centre. room could do with some updating. Would recommend.
My 7 year-old son and I stayed 3 nights at the Ibis Budget hotel on Pollard street. Great location (quiet and closed to the tram) and top quality service. Staff were very welcoming - thank you! we really enjoyed our city trip and will certainly come again.
Absolutely disgusting treatment, tried to charge me 495 for room when price was 360 on booking. Com , was told 375 was OK so paid it checked in went out for the night to be come back and end up been confronted by staff demanding the extra money, in front of other guests, ended up having to get our things and leave at midnight with no where else to go other than the 2 and half hours home. Was given an email address for refund of my 375 but the email address was fake . If you don't want to be ripped off I would avoid
