A bit of a dive. It used to have a pub attached but that has been knocked down and never replaced. You have a limited warm up menu in the bar/reception area. The industrial estate it's on is awful with nothing to see. McDonald's is 2 minutes walk and a large EV charging park, but nothing else walkable. Rooms are fine, staff friendly enough, couple of overpriced beers on tap, decent location for the city. I stayed here while on business; I wouldn't choose to stay again.
Basic clean rooms. Everything you expect to find, a kettle, iron, towels, a decent bed to get your head down. Breakfast was good, help yourself. Staff were lovely.
Lovely room, very quiet considering busy area. Staff were so pleasant to our children and very helpful. Breakfast as good as usual compared to other Holiday Inn Express hotels. Location maybe not the best, but we only stopped overnight and then into city centre for work.
Needed a quick stop off for me and family for a night, loverly member on the front desk only to happy to help, very informative. Great room for the 3 of us and nice view and super comfortable bed. Popped out for dinner which was easy accessible for us. The only issue we had was that someone on our floor decided it would be ok to smoke in their room, this eventually drifted into our room which really wasn’t nice. What concerns me is that this wasn’t detected by the hardwired smoke detectors. Nevertheless, it was reported to the staff in the morning.
Ideal location for visits to Manchester, regular bus service to Stockport, Ashton-under-Lyne and the city centre for onward travel, Hotel clean and all staff friendly, rooms are a reasonable size but a little TLC is starting to be needed. Possibly more supervision of room cleaning is required as our room wasn't fully replenished a few times during our stay and we had to request them from reception. Overall very good stay and will stay again.
