We paid over £100 for one night at this hotel and when we arrived the room had a foul smell. Then when I went to sit on the bed, the bottom flipped up as the leg was broken. The floor, sofa and towels all had stains on them. We ended up leaving and paying for another hotel due to how unclean and dirty this room was. I understand it's not a 5* hotel but basic cleanliness shouldn't be too much to ask for.
We have stayed here several times, throughout this year, due to its location, near Train Station, University and the facts it's has access to excellent Bus links. On all the occasions we have stayed, our request for a room in a quiet floor has been fulfilled and each time we have had a fantastic stay. Breakfast has always been hot and a good selection to chose from, Beds are comfy, and shower is great. Reception staff, especially Mohamed, was very polite, kind and helpful, he recognised me from me previous stay in September, and again on our recent stay in October. Credit to all the staff, and thank you for making our stay pleasant.
We stayed on Monday 19 August and received a very warm welcome from duty manager Mohamed. Check-in was smooth and efficient. The room was clean, with everything we needed. Bar service (again from Muhammad) was excellent. Breakfast was included and was well presented. We really enjoyed our stay and the staff were excellent. Mr & Mrs Decker
Stained carpets, a smelly, poorly-ventilated room and a sub-Travelodge breakfast with grubby cutlery. Approach to security seems weird - why not just get a card reader on the front door or lift? I get that it's difficult to run and maintain a hotel in this location (and it is a very convenient location) but the price and the product don't match. Friendly staff trying their best though.
The hotel staff were amazing (especially Mohammed) the room was great, the bed was comfy but a bit small, maybe just a normal double. Breakfast was included and was very good quality, well worth he price we paid.
