Great breakfast selection of pastries, and hot food. Very nice layout in the hotel. Great staff members, very polite and respectful. Hotel was amazingly clean. Room was amazing. We was both blown away with the room. We went for my birthday and they went above and beyond with a card, decoration in the room, complimentary drinks at the podium. We had a city view on the 21st floor. The pool and jacuzzi was a great extra on the Sunday morning. Overall great experience and would definitely go back again
We spent 4 nights at this hotel and we were truly disappointed. First of all, we arrived late at night after a long drive. All we wanted was to get our key and go to sleep. However, at reception, we were asked to pay for the stay — even though we had already paid at the time of booking. We then spent 20 minutes going back and forth between the reception and the manager, providing all the proof of payment, only to be told in the end: “Oh yes, you did pay,” without any apology for their mistake. We also had to pay a deposit for the fridge — £150 — for a fridge that was completely empty. The deposit has still not been returned because apparently, it takes 5 to 6 days for the refund to appear in our account. Once we got to the room, we were shocked by how poorly it had been cleaned: • Hair in the shower • Makeup stains on the furniture • Rust marks (?) on the carpet • Dirty mirrors We were also disappointed to see there was a shower curtain — quite miserable for a hotel at this price point. It could have stopped there, but it didn’t. We asked for bathrobes and slippers to access the pool, and we were told we were not entitled to receive any. When we asked why, we were told our room number didn’t allow it? I still don’t understand what that means. The pool is nice, the jacuzzi too. However, the pool is not heated, or if it is, only very slightly. It’s also quite unbearable when it gets crowded and noisy. The showers were disgusting. The sauna and steam room were clean, but always overcrowded. It’s also worth mentioning there were three parties during our stay and it was unbearable. The noise echoed into our room (I don’t know where it was coming from — music, laughter, loud voices), which caused us to lose an entire night of sleep. We tried calling the front desk but couldn’t get through. During our stay, we also tried calling room service for extra towels. We’re still waiting. In conclusion, the stay was far from enjoyable. When you book a Hilton, even a franchised one, you expect a minimum level of comfort, respect, politeness, and certainly no unexpected or surprising fees. I do not recommend this hotel — I’m disappointed with the cleanliness, service, comfort, and everything I usually look for in a hotel. Look elsewhere. The best part, however, was the stunning view.
Loved the location, short walks to main shopping area, canals, trams etc, but in a quiet location. Staff were brilliant. Room was great, however, noisy neighbours made it difficult to sleep with the extensive extra curricular activities occurring, which caused our hanging light over our bed to swing actively, if you get my meaning. We included breakfast each day and it was well worth the inclusion. Would definitely recommend.
Hadn't been to Manchester for ages so stayed for a night on way home visiting elsewhere. We wanted to make a point of thanking Tony and Bob who both were very helpful and gave us a fabulous customer service experience. The pool was great and executive lounge was very pleasant with a wonderful view across central Manchester. We will certainly be visiting again Many thanks all. Dave L Visit date 2/3 May
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hilton. We stayed in the executive room which had a full range of amenities and great city views and had access to the executive lounge where there was more fabulous views of the city and seved free alcoholic drinks and delicious snacks between 5 -7. We ate in the restaurant where the food was superb. This is a fabulous hotel. the staff in the executive lounge, restaurant, and lobby were very friendly and attentive. breakfast caters for every preference. definitely will visit again. Thank you .
