Wow. What an incredible building in a great location. The views are amazing . I only had one night here but it was perfect. Staff were very friendly, room immaculate and a superb breakfast. Highly recommend
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hilton. We stayed in the executive room which had a full range of amenities and great city views and had access to the executive lounge where there was more fabulous views of the city and seved free alcoholic drinks and delicious snacks between 5 -7. We ate in the restaurant where the food was superb. This is a fabulous hotel. the staff in the executive lounge, restaurant, and lobby were very friendly and attentive. breakfast caters for every preference. definitely will visit again. Thank you .
Impeccable location with stellar rooms and views. From the moment of check-in and throughout my week long stay the staff was constantly happy, positive and very friendly. The hand written welcome note was a thoughtful touch (see videos). My king room on the 22nd floor had stunning views of Manchester and the pillows were divine (I had to take a picture of the tab because I need them at home)! Luxurious bed was great after work. My favorite bit was the glass ceiling above the pool and Jacuzzi, which made for a really beautiful and relaxing time. Would highly recommend and I plan to come back. Another note - I stayed in an executive king suite which gave me access to the executive lounge on the 23rd floor. The staff within the lounge were attentive each time I visited and the space felt modern with delicious food and drinks.
We visited Hilton for 1 day in December. There were initially some issues with the booking and we had to amend the date but finally we got there. We upgraded our room and also booked the a table for 2 at the Podium Restaurant, through our booking. The surprise was when we got there that the reception charged us for the booking at the Podium, but the restaurant knew nothing about this and did not had a table for us… the waiter told us that the restaurant is independent from the hotel and we shouldn’t have been able to book a table through them, less to pay at the reception for a pre ordered 3 curse meal. Anyway we got refunded in the end, but I don’t understand why this mess up and why the need to charge you ahead but then when it comes to the actual services to be provided you are sent to speak to some else. The staff at the reception was more or less alright, but very quick to dispatch us and did not explain us anything, giving the fact that was our 1st time at Hilton in Manchester. The room was ‘nice’ with a beautiful view. But the wind blows through every gap and through the night, if you are not a deep sleeper, you will have your noise disturbed by all sorts of bangs, cranks, wobbly doors etc. The bed had some sort of improvised supports and was wobbly as a swing. We had an executive room which gave us free access to the Executive Lounge. This is a great place to spend some time, but just be mindful that you won’t find any more snacks or drinks an hour prior to closing time. The Spa and pool facilities are great and we had some relaxing time there. We had a few cocktails and some snacks at Cloud 23, where we luckily managed to find some space, otherwise with the care from the hotel staff we would have probably gone to bed hungry. Overall the experience was nice but a bit disappointing, given how expensive it’s a room here. Giving the money you pay you would expect the service to be excellent but unfortunately the staff here have a few more tips to learn.
My second time. The first not so great however this time around it was excellent. Negative: Waiting time for the room to be cleaned can be a long time. Expect to check in at 4pm when they say rooms will be ready and you won't be disappointed. So really it's not a negative as it's their policy. Also, check out is midday so that's probably why. I loved that because I love to lay in and not be rushed. Water is a negative. I paid over 400 for two nights. I expect lots of water. 1 bottle wasn't good at all. However, the maids were lovely when I found one and gave me 3 bottles. Lots of positives. Mainly staff. So friendly and professional. Super comfortable beds and pillows. Quiet. Good standard of food. I come every 2 years for work and I'll absolutely re book but in room 1801. Some rooms will disappoint for the money so always ask for an upgrade. They probably haven't been upgraded. Oh and please get smart TVs!!!!!
