Ordered an expensive pair of prescription sunglasses with polarised lenses. They arrived relatively quickly and in good condition, with the right prescription, but the quality of polarisation was extremely poor. Uneven dark and light blotches of polarisation were clearly visible all around the edges of both lenses. This was immediately apparent when holding them up to any polarised light source/screen/sky, so I have no idea how it got through quality control. I contacted customer support and they were quick and efficient in arranging a return and replacement. However, after I waited a couple of weeks for the replacement to arrive, I was dismayed to find they had fitted new lenses, but they had the exact same issue! I complained to customer support and enquired about their quality control processes, and was told that Glasses Direct "rely on our manufacturing partners to adhere to high standards", i.e.they do none of their own quality control. Every time I exchanged emails with the customer support team, it was a different person, so there were some misunderstandings that took up even more of my time. I should have just got a refund when I received the first defective pair and saved myself the hassle. At least they make the returns process easy.
Very impressed with Glasses Direct. Ordered a free trial, the very next day they arrived. 2 of the frames were perfect, I ordered them, added the prescriptions and paid for them. Within 4-5 days my new glasses had arrived. Brilliant service for a fraction of the price I usually pay for a high street optician. Will definitely use again, thank you
I used this company for a few tears and always found them good until early 2023. The glasses I'd ordered were not available in the colour I wanted so accepted another pair. These duly arrived, looked awful and so returned them under their 'Guarantee@. It's now over 12 months on and have I had my payment refunded ?? What do you think ?? I did initially get a few email replies stating that after 6 weeks they could see them in the postal system but hadn't actually arrived at the Company. Seriously ??? Its a bit odd that the ones I'd returned on a free home trial were back within days and showing on their system but even when I questioned that again.........got no reply !!! lol !! So it's last chance saloon. I've County Court Paperwork here which will be posted in exactly 1 weeks time, over to you Glasses Direct :-))
Product is high quality. Comes packaged well and was delivered within a day. The total time to make was around a week. The lens and frames are light and I can see so that’s a bonus! Only complaint is that frames are not listed with facts like spring loaded arms. So if that’s important to you, you won’t find that out from the frame listings.
Diabolical company. Faulty glasses returned, 4 weeks later glasses weren't put in the box when posted so I received an empty box. They said it was royal mails fault, despite the box was sealed and it was their fault. Still waiting for glasses to be ,ade, 5 weeks after sending back! Do not order from these people, they take your money quick enough but don't deliver the goods for about 2-3 weeks.....if at all. Obviously by the emails I get back, this is not a Uk based company, or should i say the employees arent! I've had no compensation whatsoever. Save your money and go elsewhere. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!
