My girlfriend and I stayed at Dakota Manchester for our anniversary and had an amazing experience. We booked the Classic King Room, which was stylish, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The attention to detail in the room—from the plush bedding to the rainfall shower—really made it feel special. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was both elegant and relaxing. We also had dinner at the Dakota Grill, and the food was outstanding—easily one of the best meals we’ve had in the city. The location is great too, just a short walk from the train station and close to everything we wanted to explore. Highly recommended for a special stay in Manchester!
The best hotel in central Manchester. Dakota Manchester is a beautiful hotel, with generously sized rooms, attentive staff, and great food. I stayed in a classic room, which was perfectly adequate. Exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, with good amenities. The bed is very comfortable - although the pillows on the soft size (would have appreciated the option for firmer ones). Breakfast is worthwhile, even if not included in your room rate. I paid £24 and ordered off their menu (with adjustments with no extra cost) and sampled the buffet. Both were excellent. The staff were very attentive and offered to make a coffee for my travel cup when on my way out, which was a nice gesture. To make travel easier, I used their valet service to park my car. It was £40/night, but convenient. Simply park up outside the main entrance (the bollards lowered by staff upon arrival) and it was parked and then collected promptly upon check out. Fantastic location- less than a ten minute walk to the city centre with vibrant and plentiful shopping/drinks/food. All in all, zero complaints and now my first choice for when staying in Manchester.
Spent a lovely evening out on their Terrace enjoying a good cigar and drink. Decor is warm and inviting, and so comfortable and spacious. Was served by James who had extensive knowledge on Cigars and looked after us well. Highly recommend any aficionado to this place if you’re in central Manchester.
The room cannot be faulted, it had a sleek and modern design, the bed was so comfy that we didn't want to leave, and it had the standard utilities such as hairdryer and iron. But with the price of the room, it was disappointing that there wasn't any room slippers or a robe, furthermore, the check in time was 3pm, which is quite late, and check out time stayed at 11am, again, it was just a shame considering the price of the room. But the location and quality of the room do make it worth it and worth the stay if you are staying in Manchester
I can’t comment on the hotel, but the restaurant was shockingly bad. I ordered a medium-cooked steak, but it arrived practically raw. I had to send it back to be redone, and meanwhile, the person I was dining with chose to wait so we could eat together. As a result, their steak went cold. The staff showed zero common sense.
