I was super nervous when going into this, it was my first experience doing anything like this. But all the staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly and Bella made me feel comfortable during the shoot. Jo was amazing too when it came to viewing my photos. Communication was great too. I went for my first ever shoot today at Curves Photography, all I can say is WOW! I was so nervous at first but the minute I walked in, the girls made me feel so welcome and are all so lovely! My photographer was amazing! She gave me loads of advice with my outfits and I can not wait to see the results! What a lovely bunch of girls, thank you so so much💕
I am beyond disappointed with my experience at Curves Photography Studios in Altrincham. For £600—including a £300 deposit—I expected professionalism, high-quality products, and exceptional service. Instead, I received subpar quality, careless customer service, and broken promises. 1. The Session Experience – A Mix of Excitement and Disappointment On the day of my shoot, I was initially excited to try something new. The session itself was enjoyable, and I tried to keep a positive outlook despite my nerves. However, the makeup applied was not flattering at all, and it completely ruined my confidence in the photos. I didn’t feel comfortable speaking up at the time, as I was new to this experience and didn’t want to seem difficult, but the end result was that I disliked every picture with my face in it. 2. Inferior Product Quality The A3 canvas I received was much smaller than expected and felt cheap—nowhere near the premium standard they advertise. It was underwhelming and not worth the price I paid. 3. Empty USB Stick & Poor Photo Quality The USB stick I was given at my cinema session was EMPTY—a completely unacceptable oversight. The only photos I had access to were low resolution and of very poor quality. Out of all the photos taken, I struggled to find even a few that I liked. I had expected professional, well-edited shots, but what I received was nowhere near what was promised. 4. Rude and Dismissive Customer Service When I called to discuss the issue with my empty USB stick, the experience was awful. The women I spoke to were rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in helping me. They made it extremely difficult to communicate my concerns, cutting me off and making me feel like I was a nuisance rather than a paying customer with a legitimate complaint. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, they seemed more focused on brushing me off as quickly as possible. Later, when I followed up after two weeks of waiting, I was told the owner was on holiday and that my USB still hadn’t been sent. At no point did they bother to update me, apologize, or take responsibility. I had to chase them for answers, and even then, I was met with indifference. 5. Final Thoughts The after-sales service was appalling, and the overall experience left me feeling taken advantage of. As someone new to photoshoots, I trusted them to provide a high-quality experience, but instead, I was left with nothing but regret. I initially refrained from leaving a public review in hopes of resolving things amicably, but after such blatant disregard for customer satisfaction, I feel compelled to warn others. Save your money and avoid the disappointment—I wish I had.
I was so nervous walking into my shoot as I had no idea what to expect and it was completely out of my comfort zone. However the second I sat in the hair & makeup chair, Sarah started boosting my confidence immediately, she asked what I liked and preferred makeup wise and the same with my hair. Liv was my photographer for the shoot and the moment I stepped into one of the rooms she settled every single one of my nerves. Liv gifted me a range of compliments from beautiful to sexy and with that she made me feel like a queen. I cannot thank Liv enough because my pictures turned out better than I’d imagined. And one last huge shoutout to Nikki who viewed my pics, she also made me feel like I was on top of the world. From start to finish, my experience at Curves was 10/10. So thank you again to Sarah, Liv & Nikki, you were all absolutely amazing!!
Absolutely amazing experience, the hair and makeup team made me feel really sexy and confident before the shoot even started, during the shoot the girl taking my photos hyped me up throughout the whole shoot, recommended outfits for each room and just did an absolutely outstanding job at making me feel comfortable. When I went to collect my photos the lady was brilliant, she made me feel amazing and we had such a laugh together. My photos were bloody brilliant and the whole thing has given me a new found confidence in myself, I couldn’t recommend these boss women enough. Seriously, if you’re considering it - do it, and you’ll be so glad you did. Thank you so much everyone at Curves studio. ❤️
