Despite a busy breakfast restaurant due to a fully booked hotel, the service and food was exceptional well worth the wait. Lovely manager on shift attended to all our needs despite being pulled in all directions. Unbelievable food and amazing two bed apartment, which was spotless. Highly recommend - do book breakfast slot in advance though to avoid a wait
Stayed here for a few nights and the room had everything we needed, a full size fridge, ironing equipment, and so much more. The reason why i gave 4 stars instead of 5 for the room was that the iron was faulty and leaked- which left our clothes a little wet. Also, parking is a little annoying - you do however get given a discount at the nearby parking lot, but you must speak to reception each time you leave. Once my partner had to wait about 15 minutes for someone to open the gate for us. Other than that food was delicious, the breakfast we couldn’t fault at all. Staff were lovely, food came fast and hot.. unlimited drinks as well. Another advantage was that breakfast was served until 12pm which was amazing as most places stop breakfast earlier. The swimming pool was lovely, very big. We went at around 11am and had the entire pool to ourselves, i wish the pool was a little deeper though and the hot tub wasn’t working. Overall great experience, friendly staff.. i would come here again!
We have just stayed at the CitySuites1 Aparthotel and booked the Family Apartment. Whilst the apartment had all the amenities needed, it was quite small and I was hoping it would be bigger. The floors had big deep scratches on it and the beds weren’t very comfortable, pillows were pretty awful actually. The place itself is modern but definitely needs some TLC in some areas where wear and tear has taken place. We dined in the restaurant for breakfast twice and I’ve got to say even though the food was good quality, the service was extremely slow and there didn’t seem to be great communication between the staff. It seemed quite overbooked and not enough staff on really. Whilst the staff were friendly, I felt some were quite inexperienced and this didn’t seem to match with the overall feel of the experience. I wouldn’t rush to return and I would say our stay was satisfactory at most.
When you value a high floor room, book a city view room, are reassured by e mail you will get one, don’t expect this place to honor the booking accordingly. On arrival around 90 mins after check in time, magically everyone checking in for the same 2 bed apartment rooms as mine had checked in and nothing high floor was available. The ice cold receptionist rather than offering any kind of apology even after reading the confirmations, actually doubled down and said “well you’re not guaranteed one..and you have to pay extra”. Not that paying extra is presented as an option or requirement in the booking process. The manager Mr Alam simply chooses to ignore e mails. The responses take him off the thread. Save your money for hotels that give you what you book. No gesture, no acknowledgement of wrong practice, no effort. I can stay in far cheaper hotels to receive that kind of management apathy. Pass on this place.
We had a lovely stay at Citysuites in September, Rachael went above and beyond for our large group making sure that everyone was accommodated and comfortable. The rooms were modern and had a relaxing atmosphere with plenty of space, and the cherry on top was that we were in the heart of the beautiful city of Manchester. An enjoyable and happy stay - will definitely be visiting again soon.
