Stayed here for a few nights and the room had everything we needed, a full size fridge, ironing equipment, and so much more. The reason why i gave 4 stars instead of 5 for the room was that the iron was faulty and leaked- which left our clothes a little wet. Also, parking is a little annoying - you do however get given a discount at the nearby parking lot, but you must speak to reception each time you leave. Once my partner had to wait about 15 minutes for someone to open the gate for us. Other than that food was delicious, the breakfast we couldn’t fault at all. Staff were lovely, food came fast and hot.. unlimited drinks as well. Another advantage was that breakfast was served until 12pm which was amazing as most places stop breakfast earlier. The swimming pool was lovely, very big. We went at around 11am and had the entire pool to ourselves, i wish the pool was a little deeper though and the hot tub wasn’t working. Overall great experience, friendly staff.. i would come here again!
We had a lovely stay at Citysuites in September, Rachael went above and beyond for our large group making sure that everyone was accommodated and comfortable. The rooms were modern and had a relaxing atmosphere with plenty of space, and the cherry on top was that we were in the heart of the beautiful city of Manchester. An enjoyable and happy stay - will definitely be visiting again soon.
Wouldn't stay again. poor customer service. literally couldn't even lock my room door and when I tried to ask in regard to locking it i was told it was fine and it locked - only to record video footage of the fact the lock was faulty and have them admit fault afterwards. city suites failed across the board in terms of basic customer care and giving appropriate information needed for my stay there. they promised feedback within 24-48 hours post me logging my complaint but didn't come back to me until I chased via a third party for a response - and despite admitting several faults all they're willing to offer is the opportunity to pay and stay there again - there's plenty of other places in manchester to stay where your money will be well spent - here is certainly not one of them
Left my engagement ring in the room only for house keeping to steal it. Called shortly after checking out and a further three times to see if it had been found, only to be told it hadn't. Reception were extremely unhelpful, not empathetic and failed to escalate the issue in a timely manner to ensure the safe return of the ring. It was only after calling several times, I was informed someone was looking for it, by this point house keeping had cleaned the room and taken my ring. The beds are uncomfortable, the sofa was very dirty and there was black mould in the bathroom around the sink and shower.
Paid £225 for a room and on check in no real information about it breakfast was included or not and no one talked about the facilities ie the swimming pool or gym and where to find them! Told had a car and charged me £18 which was fine but no more information than that! So when I left which was less than 24hrs as arrived at 4pm and left about 11am the next day- got charged my the machine a further £24 for the car park so I paid £32 for less than 24hours! Just wrote to them and there response was if I had informed the team they would have let me out!! It should have been the staff explaining this too me not the other way around!! So room was decent the service received on check in was terrible?!!
