On arrival there was a queue to check in. Must have waited for around 15 minutes with only one person checking people in until another joined to help. The lifts felt old and there were click frames but nothing in them. The room was very dated with (in my opinion) distasteful colour choices (pink paint). The room had no window which was the room choice but it was so hot in there. There was a fan provided but it was extremely dusty. The bed was creaky but the bedding was clean. The room door was very flimsy and lightweight. It felt like the hotel was just unloved. The best thing was that the location was in the centre.
I went into this hotel with an open mind due to previous read reviews. I stayed here for 2 nights and had a pleasant stay. The only issues I would bring up is the lack of parking, however there are a few car parks close by. I also had a room with no windows and the room was insanely hot and doesn’t appear to have aircon so had to sleep with the fan on. The staff are very friendly and it’s right in the heart of the city, in a great walking distance to the shops / restaurants. The bed and pillows were comfy and the room was a great size. The price for the hotel was fantastic also!!
Old hotel in need of massive refurbishment. Room layout makes no sense, lack of sockets to plug in your electronics or devices, lack of proper lighting. Bathrooms have been redone with materials they use in schools or hospitals. We stayed for 3 nights and room wasn’t cleaned once. There is a phone in the room that doesn’t work. The food provided at dinner was very low standard to the point we didn’t even bother eating it and just went to nandos or anywhere else. Only thing going for it is it’s central location
Bed wasn't made properly and was pretty subpar and uncomfortable but you do get what you pay for, the towels smelt terrible and I wasn't comfortable using them and found excess dirt in the sink and the bathtub. My partner and I turned up and I realised I had forgotten my identification - this is an understandable mistake on my half however we were then told they'd also need to see my partner's ID and bank card. We were both stuck calling relatives for our birth certificates (which technically isn't accepted but they did make an accepting to this, thankfully) Upon re entering the hotel after a concert, we were stopped at the door at 11pm because my partner's name wasn't on the room and we would need to check him in properly. I think this is kind of insane considering the circumstances and we almost weren't allowed to go back up to the room after the palaver earlier. The staff stick to extremely strict rules and I even overheard a gentlemen not being allowed in after driving from Liverpool because his 4 year old son didn't have ID! Don't stay at this hotel, it's so stressful and such a palaver even trying to get in and out and it's absolutely not worth it considering how uncomfortable and vile it is.
Ok so excellent location in the heart of Manchester roughly 4 minutes from Victoria station. I'm not sure what it is with the reviews but the staff were super nice. Upon check in I was offered a £10 upgrade which if you check in you should take because the room was really nice it had a window was room temperature not the sauna that people said this place was and it was very spacious I would definitely recommend coming here!
