You get what you pay for. We've stayed at this hotel 3 times as it is dog friendly, well located and quite cheap. But it comes at a cost. The rooms are very average at best. The hotel looks impressive from the outside but inside you can see that it's not looked after. The fact that it's dog friendly is very much appreciated and it comes at an extra cost of £10 per night. The breakfast here is the worst. We've had it once and it was literally the worst hotel breakfast I've ever had. The security guys, I get that they are doing their job, but after a certain time they are very intimidating, asking us questions and checking if my partner (male) knows me ( female), if we are together and asking me for the room number to check if I actually stay there even though we've come and gone from the hotel multiple times per day and they've seen us before. I guess they've seen many things happen but they could be better at it. As I said at the beginning, you get what you pay for. It is a cheap hotel in the centre of the city but not one of the good ones in general. It gets the job done.

Hotel is well located in town. Our biggest compliment is to the extraordinary and friendly service of Jazeel he is so helpful, warmth, professional, welcoming and courteous and went above and beyond to look after us Absolutely fab! Super helpful and really friendly, a credit to the hotel, For me they were really stood out and took it to 5 stars.

The hotel is centrally located within Manchester making it an ideal venue from which to enjoy all that the city has to offer. Predictably Its rooms are clean, tidy and warm as one would expect, though this was evidentially not the case when I recently stayed at the Travelodge in Scarborough (see review). It’s breakfast service is organised efficiently and the breakfast area is large enough to cater for many people, with plenty of room for all, hence making it a very relaxed experience for the start of the day. All the food was hot and there is a wide selection of vegetarian and meat based offerings. The breakfast staff were welcoming and efficient. Similarly the staff on reception were efficient and most engaging making the check-in and checkout procedures simple and easy to do. They were most helpful when providing directions to local areas of interest too. I was offered a room upgrade when I chose to have breakfast as part of my stay, going from a room without a window, to one with. Once again I’ll handled very efficiently. Although I didn’t opt for an early checkin they were able to offer me a room when I arrived, so I didn’t have to store my luggage in the baggage checkin. This made a great difference to me, and was offered straight away due to a room being available. A very human way to operate. The price of the accommodation including breakfast was very very reasonable for a stay in such a beautifully appointed hotel, bang in the city centre. It is apparently that the staff all enjoy working there, and that imbues the hotel with a very warm and inviting atmosphere. I recommend recommend the hotel without hesitation. Enjoy!!

I was so so apprehensive about this as the reviews are so scathing however I actually really liked it. I stayed here for one night following a concert. The decor, although tired in spots was overall quite nice, room was clean and comfortable. I also had a wee drink at the bar. The bar area is nice and the barman was friendly and was more than happy to take Scottish banknotes! I will add, reception staff require photo ID upon check in. So be prepared for that.

Hi, stayed here for 2 nights and can honestly say this is a solid 3 star hotel. I heard mixed reviews about the rooms before I arrived, so was a little concerned. Check in was fine, had a room on the 3rd floor, and the room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the only downside was the shower curtain which sticks to you while showering! The hotel feels a little old fashioned or maybe vintage is the better description. 😄
