I think Boots Opticians in the Arndale center are brilliant. I went for a routine eye test yesterday and was really impressed by the level of service. The optician was really friendly and explained every step of the process. The examination was thorough and painless. I was in and out in about half an hour with no waiting around at all. They even put a copy of my retinal images onto a CD for free for me because I was curious about them!
I've been trying calling the optician for the past week and nobody ever answer the phone . I was told my glasses would have been ready in 10 days, i find myself 4 weeks later and no glasses. You would think the staff would give you a call to INFORM you about the delay, but NO . VERY DISAPPOINTING !
I used D&A and then transferred to boots as my opticians for glasses and contacts a few years ago. Generally been happy with the service, love the fact that I get advantage card points.
