I've been using this gym, twice a week for over a year and I love it! The staff are always welcoming and the facilities are great for my needs. I enjoy the sauna and have met some great people. Reception always help if I ask for anything and always have a smile on their face. I'm very happy here and have recommended friends to join, and they have. Very good place. 👍
It's overpriced, and the swimming pool area is always dirty! Women have to get change without a dressing room, in a tiny are. The staff could have been more helpful. I signed up for 1,5 months and regretting as I paid around £70 in total. Whenever I came there, the water in the jacuzzi was freezing cold! The sauna is pretty cold too. The only fine is the steam room, but you have to pay for all the facilities, which weren't worth the price at all! I'm not recommending.
Place is filthy. I'm disabled and wanted to use swimming pool and sauna facilities no lift inside the building. No ramp outside. No handrail at swimming pool to hold onto when entering the water. No disability friendly. Discrimination. Paid 25 pounds and didn't even get my toe wet. Would leave less than one star but its impossible.
BEWARE WHAT YOU'RE SIGNING UP FOR. I was mainly using the one in Quay street but then it closed down so I had no choice but to use the one in Whitworth St but I found it very busy and crowded since two gyms merged into one. So I've decided to leave and cancelled my membership by cancelling my direct debit, like every other gym, or so I thought. They've been bombarding me with emails and calls saying that I should give them a month notice and expect me to pay for that "notice period" and has even threatened me with debt collection agency. They are just scammers that are slowly running out of business, it's no surprise that you only have one branch left out of three.
The pool side and changing rooms are filthy. The cleaner dont seem to have the knowhow or meana to clean the tiles in the poolside. They just seem to constantly wipe the tiles with mops and squeegees in a futile effort and then brush the dirty water back into the poolside. Clueless. The changing rooms are damp and mouldy.
