Mr Duncan Bannatyne must be hard up financially if he thinks charging people £25 for a day pass and not providing a towel is acceptable!!! Expecting people to pay an extra £10 for a sweat towel instead? Offering a Pool, Sauna & Steam service. It is incredibly unhygienic not to provide clients/members with towels. Of course you can bring your own towel to shower with. But you are not going to use the same towel in the sauna and during classes. If you are paying £25 for a day pass why are you then required to bring multiple towels. Receptionist proceeded to say they don't offer a towel hire service?Like why should we have to hire a towel when you are paying £25 for the day? Having to go back to the hotel to ask them if we could borrow towels to use the sauna. Basic hygiene is to sit on a towel to prevent large amounts of bodily sweat going all over the benches and floor. It was absolutely disgusting. Bannatynes do better. Please don't use the excuse that you are helping the environment either! Not good enough !
I’ve been a member of the Bannatyne Whitworth Street for over 10 years. All the staff at the club are really nice and friendly. The gym and pool area is always immaculately clean. The equipment is always in perfect working order and is never over crowded. The gym is a nice friendly environment. I would highly recommend this club to anyone.
I’ve been a member of the Bannatyne Health Club on Whitworth Street, Manchester, for over 20 years, which reflects how much I rate the club. The staff are always friendly, and you can tell they genuinely care about their members and their jobs. I regularly practice yoga with exceptional teachers and use the free-weight and pool areas. Andreas has been incredibly helpful in assisting with my fitness routine, and I truly appreciate his support. I highly recommend this gym!
After reading all the reviews about the cleanliness of the gym I wasn’t sure about joining. But in my experience the gym and pool are always really clean with cleaners present often. The pool and features are so lovely, and I never find the gym too busy. I also find it’s a nice mix of people
The gym is great, better than the one that closed on Quay St. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and the equipment is excellent. The only downsides, in my opinion: - The pool is not heated, and the water is quite cold, to be honest. - The jacuzzi sometimes lacks proper cleaning; the water can be quite dirty and cold sometimes. - It would also be great if they accepted Hussle passes.
