Been using this laundrette off and on over the years. Whenever my own packs in or having to recently sell my own washer, going back after a few years and seeing the prices have barely raised was certainly easy of the wallet. The owner and staff are always nice and always have change on hand should you only have notes on you. The washers and dryers are fantastic too and get the job well done.
I am wondering why people are giving good ratings. The machines and dryers are outdated, dating back to the 80s, and the cleaning quality is poor. The staff struggle to understand English and are quite rude. There are no fixed prices for services, and dry cleaning is not offered. Additionally, parking is a significant issue if you want to use this launderette. My experience was very negative.

This dry cleaner does not have a fixed price list for different items, and it feels like they charge whatever they want. Before visiting, I had asked around about standard dry-cleaning rates in the UK and was quoted much lower prices than what this shop charged. Initially, I planned to give them five items, but due to the high prices, I reduced it to three. At that point, they suddenly offered to lower the total price so that I could give all five items—very inconsistent pricing. I declined and proceeded with just three items, only because I needed them cleaned urgently and didn’t have time to find another cleaner. Before handing over my items, I explicitly asked if they could be ready the next day, as that was my only condition for using their service. I dropped them off early in the morning, and they assured me they would be ready by the evening of the next day. When I asked if I needed to call before collecting, they said no. However, when I arrived the next evening, my items were not ready. When I reminded them that I had only given my clothes based on their promise of next-day service, they said you can’t expect it to be ready in a day. Overall, a very disappointing experience—overpriced and unreliable. Even though this is the closest dry cleaner to me, I won’t be returning.
