A 3 day stay with our dog. Staff friendly and welcoming - nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless and comfortable. The ventilation not good in the bathroom - our only issue. Our cooked breakfast was excellent. Comfortable & cosy bar area. We will definitely stay again.
Just arrived at last minute for lunch, was pleased that Henderson’s restaurant had a table free. Service excellent. Food excellent, lovely presentation, good menu. Perfect…lovely fresh mushrooms and prawns for starters, excellent Sunday roast with huge Yorkshire pudding, tasty Pork Belly and great fresh Fish and Chips. Used to come here when it was an Italian restaurant, not been for a while but will certainly come back again soon. Thanks.
Looks and smells like an elderly care home. The rooms need refurbishing, the bed was uncomfortable and I could feel the springs. The reception staff were very friendly and the car parking was easy.
Overall: My stay at your hotel was quite pleasant, primarily due to the fantastic staff and convenient location. The restaurant offered decent service with good food, though I opted for a simple burger. My only complaints concerned a draft through the window and the distance my room was from the lobby, as the stairs proved a bit difficult for my bad knees. Final Thoughts: Despite the minor inconveniences, I truly enjoyed my stay at your hotel. The staff's warmth and dedication made all the difference, and the restaurant provided a satisfying meal. However, I would recommend requesting a closer room to the lobby if stairs are a concern. Overall, I would rate my experience a 4 out of 5 stars and would definitely consider returning to this charming hotel in the future.
My sister in law and I enjoyed afternoon tea today in lovely surroundings. Dan B, the waiter provided excellent customer service and was very friendly and helpful. We were both asked if we would like a drink as there was a slight delay in receiving the afternoon tea. My sister in law was driving so opted for a non alcoholic drink and I had a glass of wine. I can highly recommend Henderson's restaurant if you are thinking of having afternoon tea.
