Conference room rental for a full afternoon. The room was ok. It was only a small screen for the presentation, and the food provided was not great. I felt the hotel was short on the sandwich fillings and tried to make it spread across all the requested sandwiches. A good location and plenty of parking. May use again but will probably check availability elsewhere first.
This is a lovely hotel to stay at & the staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. The restaurant isn't available for evening meals at the moment, but they were more than happy for us to order food in & use their facilities to eat.
We recently held our Wedding Ceremony and Reception at The Alma Lodge Hotel and from the initial booking to leaving the following day the service we received was outstanding. Elaine was our contact for the booking and she was extremely knowledgeable and gave us confidence that we picked the right venue. On the day Callum and Faye were on hand for anything we needed, but without being obvious about it. Every member of staff that we encountered were friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. The day ran seamlessly thanks to the experience of the staff. It made our special day extra special. We would highly recommend the Alma Lodge for any event, especially a wedding.

Arrived on 10th may, was given top floor, but this was changed which was good of them to 1st floor, but when got to room standard but very hard bed and pillows did not sleep well, t.v no point being in room hardly no channels and about a 16inch which wasint even in the centre of the room could not see from.bed needs to be on the walls, could not open the door at times then had to lock when left so out of date, and when I visited stockport on the Saturday I thought I lost my phone with all my cards in as you could imagine I panicked and hyperventilated tyres to contact the hotel on three occasions to see if they could check my room for me in case I left it there no answer at reception on 3 attempts left an urgent voicemail to get back to us no one did when got back to hotel there was someone in reception a young girl why did you not answer the phone ?? And still to this day have not contacted us, lucky was in the room, when and sat outside in the afternoon 3 young boys outside sat there but not staying there they were fine until they started smoking weed in which we then had to go in then so unfortunately due to these episodes i would not stay here again.
