Very friendly and professional staff. The appointment was on time and the eye test itself was quick and efficient. Zainab was excellent and very knowledgeable. Following the eye test, the staff were great in helping me choose a frame and colour that suited me the best. It took a while as there were so many to choose from! There were no hard sells and complete transparency with the price. I would recommend to any one wanting a new pair of glasses!
Train your staff to be more welcoming?? I came to ace and tate following a recommendation by someone that was already a customer, I was needing some new glasses as my frames were broken and needed some new ones. Since I did want to become a customer I did want to test if I would receive good service at first. However the staff were just giving weird looks when I was looking around, so I approached a lovely lady who worked there and asked if they had any tote bags, she said she’ll go and have a look but when she went to speak to her co worker I noticed in the mirror that he looked back at me and gave me a weird unwelcoming look, it felt so rude but when she told me I had to be a customer to get one I took it as a sign to leave. God forbid a teenager come in to ask for a tote bag. Might return but maybe advise your millennial staff to be more friendly lmao.
Recently got some new glasses here after not finding any frames I liked elsewhere. The team were all lovely and helped me find the right frames and colour. When I came to pick up my glasses I was served by the lovely Issa who was extremely welcoming and helped fit my new glasses and process the last bit of my order . Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new pair of glasses :)
Been using Ace and Tate for years and been happy enough with it and happy with latest frames. Staff are friendly but I happened to go to Iolla in St. Ann's Square with a friend after collecting my frames and the service there was leaps and bounds better than here, and made me realise that what I've been getting was actually kinda average. They really took effort to help choose the ideal frames in a way that Ace and Tate didn't. Also it's insane that the glasses don't come in a proper case anymore, just some string bag thing. For a £200 purchase that's incredibly tight. I'm happy with my frames but will likely move on from Ace and Tate next time.
