even though the rooms were a little damaged with the normal wear and tear. From when I came in and left in my just under 24 hour visit I had the best experience with the team working! They were nothing but friendly and helpful. I had an issue with a lady in my room and on my way out I told the lovely lady at the front desk she was nothing but apologetic for what happened and help solve the problem by getting the manager to talk to lady about the situation which I really appreciated. I received an email from the manager a couple of hours later apologies for the situation while offering me a discount for my next stay. They really went out of the way to fix this situation for me !
Staying at this hostel has been a mixed experience. While the reception staff is friendly, the cleaning staff comes off as quite aggressive and not very approachable. The kitchen is decent, but it’s often dirty and only has a single pan to serve the entire hostel. On Friday and Saturday nights, the noise level is unbearable due to the nearby bars, making it impossible to sleep if you're on the first floor until around 3 or 4 a.m. Additionally, there's an issue with the alarm system—it went off twice during my stay and was painfully loud.
Stayed for just the one night here, but it served its purpose great. You can't beat the location, right in the heart of the Northern Quater with all the best bars and shops right on your doorstep. I really liked the set up of the beds, it was giving capsule hotel vibes, felt really private and self contained, and the curtains blocked out a load of light. Bedding was clean and the bed was comfy. Service was nice when I checked in and out, and the 24 hour reception was handy as I got in late and left pretty early.
Comfortable & well-kept rooms, bed was spacious, didn’t feel squashed in the room, overall hostel is modern with friendly staff and relatively sociable crowd which is a nice atmosphere. Well located in Manchester with easy access to pretty much everything, this hostel offers great value and convenient for sure. Only downside was Wi-Fi was temporarily not working which was annoying!
Pretty good experience. Staff what nice and reception 24/7 available. Rooms are big (8 bed dorm), beds are long (more than 2mts), shower is okay . It can get a bit noisy at night , but using earplugs and closing the windows works fine . At least on the second floor . Location it's pretty central from main tourist attractions, walking tours, bars, food and shops. Kitchen is big and internet mostly works well. I would say it's a bit over the price in comparison to other European hostels , that's my main issue .
