Very poor. Reception staff nice and beds comfortable. Catering staff challenging. Night waiting staff argumentative and unhelpful. Breakfast tired by half an hour before last booking and scrappy. and options inflexible. Very expensive. It seems the service staff are terrified of their managers and customer must be controlled. Although nice people at break fast who try to help. Room IT not working. Phone gimmicky kept breaking. Heating not working in winter and estates too busy on other jobs to mend. Not for any form of daytime stay, ( had to stay under covers or jumper and coat up in room) not for later travellor meals or for decent breakfast experience.
Booked a room here for a concert. The staff on the front desk were so friendly and welcoming. The room was a really good size and is honestly 1 of the cleanest rooms i've stayed in. We had a few drinks in the bar before we went out and were looked after by Adrian who was absolutely brilliant. We had breakfast in the morning too which was delicious. Will definitely be staying here again in the future 👍🏼
Great location for Victoria Station. Nice hotel incorporating a victorian warehouse. Room comfortable with good facilities. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great. Although in a city centre location no noise to speak of so spent a comfortable night. Only issue was that we were welcomed to Manchester by a pigeon meaning my wife and I needed to get cleaned up of the filthy deposit and needed to pay £25 to check in earlier than planned.
The room’s soundproofing is poor; I was woken up by noise in the morning and could clearly hear people talking in the next room. The hot water also had some issues, fluctuating between hot and cold, but the hotel adjusted it for me.
The room was very nicely furnished. Service from reception was good. Breakfast was ok but the pastries were hard and awful both mornings I was there. Unfortunately, the internal noise is too much, heavy doors banging all the time, whenever a higher room flushes the toilet there's a lot of noise, housekeeping was really noisy in the corridors and banging their doors There wasn't any shower gel, but 2 bottles of shampoo in my shower. Lots of thick dust everywhere. My mattress had broken springs that were pushing out of the fabric on the sides. Pillows were all very flat, stained, gross. Feels like it was a great place that's trying to save money by compromising the product.
