Up Fitness Laurence Nekooie My experience during the last three months with 2-3 times work out at UP Fitness Manchester have been absolutely exceeding my expectations. I chose UP Fitness because of the 1-2-1 approach with a designated PT supported by the app to be accountable for food and work out in support of this lifestyle change. Not only did I gain strength, lost the desired and aimed 8kg but I also gained clarity and confidence. I train horses and my core strength and balance are important; after several injuries, I am aware of an aging body and am interested in a long term fitness regime. My designated PT Laurence NeKooie is always responsive to questions, finds settings and routines aiming exactly to improve my fitness to help me improve in my other Sport. My performance went noticeably up in the % I gained with my horses in dressage and I gained success in several Championships. The sessions are always challenging and improving my strength. Engaging with UP Fitness and starting this new fitness regime made me settle in Manchester - we moved a bit over a year ago from Germany and every move (in total 12) takes it time and toll to find a healthy routine. I am aware of my aging body and with 55 years and having been engaged in competitive Golf, Tennis and Riding, my goal is it to age as fit as I can. I am at the right place with a very well chosen PT in Laurence NeKooie. Excited to see to which bodyfat % this journey will take us.
I'm just over one month into my UP journey and I can already say it's one of the best decisions I have ever made. Since lockdown, I had completely fallen off track with the gym and massively struggled with anxiety about going back. Initially, I thought my confidence might improve by the end of the program, but in just over a month I’ve already overcome so much of that anxiety and achieved many personal goals. Having a physical disability has played a huge part in my gym anxiety and made me doubt whether I could join a training program like this but my trainer, Conor, has been incredibly patient and understanding, making adjustments where necessary while still pushing me to do my best in every session. Seeing my progress because of this has been incredibly rewarding. I’ve had personal trainers before, but nothing has compared to this experience. The training is so thorough and educational, no question too stupid, and there's support anytime outside of gym sessions through messaging on the app. The atmosphere at UP is also so welcoming—there’s always someone at the front desk to greet you, which may seem like a small gesture, but it makes a big difference, especially when you’re feeling anxious. I really can’t thank my trainer Conor enough. I’m not only feeling physically better but also mentally. I’m really excited to continue the rest of my UP journey!
I have just finished 12 weeks at ultimate performance and I can honestly say this is the best decision I could have made for my health and fitness. I have tried lots of gyms and diets in the past and never got close to results they have helped me achieve in 12 weeks. The whole team and the environment there is great and everyone is very friendly and encouraging. Adam has been excellent throughout this process and has been a really good balance of accountability encouragement and education. He literally checks in everyday and is always on hand if I have any questions. I’ve really enjoyed the attention to detail to explain everything and why it’s important regarding training and nutrition. I would strongly recommend UP Manchester
Incredible experience and transformative journey. My PT was Tom, and he has constantly supported me and pushed me to train my best, whilst also making sure its done in a safe manner. The UP app has to be used to keep a record of your diet and weight and my PT had access to this yo keep track of my performance and would check it regularly to ensure I was accountable. Exercises were recorded in intervals to evidence progress and keep motivation up. I lost fat and put muscle on and feel much better for it.
I’m currently six weeks into my twelve week course at UP and making the decision to enroll at UP Manchester is the best thing I’ve ever done for my own personal improvement. The tailored training programme and diet has already had a huge and positive impact on my health and fitness, I have much more energy through the day and am getting more done.
